The Embassy Suites North in Indianapolis is a good value for the money. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was recently updated and very comfortable. The bathroom is somewhat small, but clean and modern. The area around the hotel offers many choices for restaurants. In addition, the hotel offers a decent breakfast every morning as part of the room rate.

Our family of four does seek out Embassy Suites when we travel.
We take full advantage of both the manager's reception and full cooked to order breakast. This ES did not dissapoint.
The design is more Spanish Floridian than Indiana Hoosier, and very nice.
We had a room on the highest renovated floor #615. Despite a hotel full of preteen soccer tournament boys, our room was quiet and comfortable.
The common eating areas were spaced nicely, so we did have privacy, and the decor was very pleasant with lots of greenery.
The hotel staff was all very accomodating and friendly, the pool while not huge was big enough for my daughters to have fun in.
This hotel will be even nicer once the renovations are complete, but I would recommend this place even now.

I was a little concerned to stay here after reading some of the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel was very nice. I know they are doing renovations, but it did not bother us at all. The room was very nice. It may have been one of the recently renovated rooms. i am not sure. We were in suite 614. The room had a sofa and a chair and a huge desk with a chair. There was a little mini bar area with a sink, microwave and refrigerator. In the bedroom were two double beds and another sink. There was also a sink in the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. There was also a balcony. The rooms all face a beautiful atrium. They do have glass doors. But they look really nice. The only negative about the room itself is that the bathroom is very small. If you are afraid of heights, you may want a floor on the lower level as all rooms look down upon the atrium. There is just a railing between you and a long fall.

The atrium is gorgeous with lots of greenery.

The breafast bar was excellent. I cannot understand why anyone would say the area was like a prison block. The breakfast area is nice and the breakfast was great. The bacon was perfect. The evening reception has just basic snacks like chips and dip, salsa, popcorn. But they have a full service bar and you get two drinks free.

The staff was very nice. They would smile and speak whenever you walked by the desk. They let us check in early without any problems at all.

I was concerned that there was a group of girls having a slumber party in the suite next to ours. But when the door was shut, we really could not hear them. Also the sound from the bar can by quite loud, but we could only hear it from the front part of the suite, not from the bedroom section.

All in all I was quite pleased with this place. The parrot was probably a MCCAW not a parrot. IT was fun to watch.

The only real downside is the slow elevator. But all big hotels are like this.

I would not hesitate to stay here again. The location is nice. The staff was friendly. The rooms were large. The food was good.

AND when the renovation is over, it will be even better.

We stayed her for a weekend. The hotel was undergoing renovations. We were in an older room that clearly needed an update. That said, there was nothing wrong with the room. It was clean and still a pleasant experience. I must say, I was not used to the layout in that the entry door is glass and there are two floor to ceiling windows on each side of the door. The curtains offer more than adequate privacy, but it still does not feel as secure or private as a standard, solid door. I liked the atrium/central courtyard. As noted, behind the elevator there was a parrot in a large cage there. It did not smell and the cage was clean. The kids loved it. Pool was average -- par for the course. I felt the breakfast was better than usual. There was a small grill for ordering to suit. There was also a slightly better than average buffet. This is a nice hotel. Clearly the strategy is to get one of the new rooms/suites.
