“Indy Treasure!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

Great location, and easy access from downtown Indy. Provides ample parking. Easy walk if you happen to be staying downtown. Spent an afternoon at a leisure pace. Not only a great Native American exhibit, but was fortunate enough to see the Guitar Exhibit. This was one of the finest collections with all eras/ types of guitars available. Interactive guitars were available, which was fun. Also, enjoyed the gift shop. Highly recommend.

“Pleasant surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

I stumbled upon this museum while walking along the canal. Great collections, informative explanations, very nice layout, very peaceful location. I learned a lot about native American culture and history in an hour. The gift shop is very well stocked with interesting items.

“Great venue for a corporate or social reception or event”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

I managed an event for 50 clients at the Eiteljorg and can't say enough good things about the experience. The museum is very interesting and a great alternative to a hotel ballroom. There are several indoor and outdoor spaces, free parking for guests and most of all great service. Kahn's provided our catering and it was fantastic, all the guests raved about how delicious the food was. The museum staff were excellent to work with and the entire event was seamless.

“A great place to grab a bite and overlook the canal.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

Whether taking a break from the museum exhibits or just looking for a place to grab a bite and see the beautiful scenery of the canal walk in Indianapolis, the Cafe at the Eiteljorg Museum is a terrific spot. The menu is somewhat "period based", scrumptious and value priced! After ordering at the counter, if the weather permits, take a seat outside on the veranda to overlook the canal while they prepare your meal. Their friendly servers will bring your meal to your table in a jiffy!

“The Far West in the Mid-West. A surprise for western and Native American art lovers!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013

Located in the near-downtown area of Indianapolis, the Eiteljorg is a major museum of western and American Indian art. A surprising find for any lover of western art traveling to the mid-west. Major seasonal shows of artists from NM, AZ, etc. A magnificent collection of Native American artifacts and a broad collection of 18th 19th and 20th century western artists. There is a small restaurant with faux New Mexican dishes, but it is OK and has a lovely patio if the weather is nice.
