The museum boasts a very broad collection of classical and contemporary art. The park and gardents aree beautiful.
great collection of a variety of works from artists worldwide, from the old masters to the best of contemporary artists. Everything from sculpture and pottery to watercolor and oil paintings to charcoal and pencil drawings. One could spend days in the museum viewing all the displays.
I was hooked from my first visit. Not only it is free, but it is so diverse. A great way to spend the day appreciating great works of art. Plus the outdoor gardens are simply beautiful.
Free museum, and lovely gardens. Don't miss 100 acres when the weather is nice. Friday night movies in the summer outside are not to be missed.
One can easily spend an entire day museum viewing, strolling the woods and gardens, having lunch, and walking through the Lilly House. This property is a national historic landmark and the museum offers paintings by Rubens, El Greco, Van Gogh, Japanese & African art, American contemporary and furnishings. The building itself is perfect with big viewing areas, great lighting, comfortable seating, and a very good gift shop. And it's FREE!
