“Nice, but kinda cheesey”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We stayed here for my husband's birthday in January. Our room was nice and laid out well, but it was kinda cheesey, if you know what I mean. It could stand some updates, but over all it was a fun and relaxing night!

The maintenance crew in charge of rennovations would like to assure Mrs Brummet that they shall continue doing face lifting operations around the entire facility. The continueous improvement process is an open end activity you know and can only be realised by repeat customers over time. And therefore we invite Mrs. Brummet to come and see for herself how far we have come. We appreciate customers that benchmark their stay with us.

we stayed a weekend in 2 diff rooms & was very displeased. very down graded for what you spend! No internet & maybe 9 cable stations. The only thing at all nice about these rooms are the hotubs. Blankets are outdated & blinds were nasty. Breakfast was waffles & bagels, which were burnt & bagel was like trying to eat rubber. Carpet was black & stained & burn holes everywhere. Will never stay there again!!

This guest decided to take advantage of the situation the minute she walked in. Although every effort was made to give her the suites she picked, since it was a holiday season, she was picking fights with every body for no reason and called the front desk girl the b word several times. She was given the option of using the business center for free since there was a problem with the internet in her room. When ran out of things to say, she complained about the snow removal activity being not fast enough. As for the wafles being burnt, hotel staff don't prepare wafles for the guests. Instead, guests are previliged to do that themselves. Also, the bagles are purchased from recognised retail stores. Because of the numerous problems she was generating with the staff, that made the receptionist cry as she kept calling her the b word, she was given the option of full refund and leaving the premises. She refused. On the day she checked out, it became clear why she was making all these problems. She wanted a full refund and threatened with writing a review if she didn't get it. Of course refunding was out of question at that point and everybody was happy she left. Needless to say the guest has been placed on the "Do Not Rent List".
Nevertheless, management will continue to seriously consider every observation made and stay on course with the continuous improvement process.

my husband and i stayed the night before thanksgiving as a late anniversary. we stayed in the northern lights room.

we checked in and was told breakfast was from 7-10am, woke up and went down at 9:40 and was told no breakfast ended at 9am. wasnt happy about that, went to mcdonalds. before we left the woman finally apologized.

Well we entered the room and it wasnt too bad. Just a few little things would make a huge diffrence and it wouldnt cost much at all, so i dont understand.

1-cobwebs above the light, could of easily been dusted, as i did so
2-the wall paper was peeling a bit- a bit of super glue would help that
3-the de-humidifer was FULL and we would of emptied it but a grate covered it and was screwed in.
4-a bit of paint, in some areas was very rough and even though it would have looked newer, you would at least know that they made the effort and on the lamp several spots were chipped of the color.
5-There was innapropriate add-ons to the Walrus's that could easily be covered up with a dab of white paint or even just scrub it off.

the whirlpool was nice and big though, liked that, even though the water came out looking dirty but it was just heavy minerals

just those few little things would make a huge diffrence

Other wise for a one night get away it wasnt too bad.

Room Tip: double check when breakfast is served, because it could just been when they decided to serve and clo...

I have stayed in the Ceasar's Palace and Venetian Holiday rooms. I've also taken one of the tours of all the themed rooms. I've read about a years worth or reviews and some of them are so horrible, they're hilarious. Sometimes, it can be about how you are as a person and a customer. In my own experience, the front desk staff was nice, but surely a bit unorganized. The manager, Doc, was really nice and accomodating. I had complained that the Wi-Fi in the room sucked, so he recommended the dining area where it worked just fine. Never seen a single creature in either room. The rooms are a bit dark with a dampy smell to them, but I assumed it was from all the indoor use of hot tubs, which is what I come for. Some of the rooms had flat screens but some didn't. Mine both had fridges and microwaves. The Ceasar bed was way better than the Venetian bed. Loved that food, liquor store, and shopping were a hop skip & a jump.
Overall, needs alot of updating to compare to regular "suites", but I only come for the hot tubs so I'll be back for the Geisha Garden and Northern Lights!
Two Tips: 1) Some of the management replys to these reviews were just as disturbing as the reviews! Public relations skills could be improved here. 2) Perhaps some rewards points or some kind of incentive program could be added for return visitors.

Room Tip: I've stayed in the Ceasar's Palace and Venetian Holiday, and will return to stay in Northern...

Before I began writing this review, I read several of the others. I must say that basically you get what you pay for. My hubby knew I needed some TLC and he suprised me with a night in the "Jungle Room". Did it need some work...yeah. The bed really was horrible, an old waterbed frame with a terribly old hard mattress and the pillows were useless. Yes, it had an "old" smell and needed a bit of work. BUT I had an AMAZING time. The Hot Tub alone was worth the price. We needed more towels along with a couple of other things and the hotel staff was polite and professional. I guess I would say that the room was a bit "cheesy"(you know like one of those old movies you just have to watch once every blue moon). So I say, if you are looking for a fun, relaxing get away with the one you love it is definatly worth the price. Take along some scented candles like we did and before you know it you will be soaking....yeah soaking ;) in the hot tub and you won't even notice anything else! Oh yeah, careful the walls are NOT soundproof! Wish I could tell you how the breakfast was but we didn't make it. There was just something about that tub!

My husband and I have stayed at Fantasuites several times and have enjoyed the fun Themed Suites. We have stayed in the Le Cave, Northern Lights, Venetian Holiday and Pharaoh's Chambers.

These suites are very roomy and each one has a bed to match the room theme, fridge, microwave, personal coffee maker and our favorite feature the oversized whirlpool tubs in each of these rooms are HUGE. Giving you plenty of room to relax or play. The new televisions are a wonderful added bonus.

The rooms have been clean and comfortable. The manager Doc and the staff was helpful and kind and we felt that they wanted to make our stay the best it could be.

This is a fun place to go to just get away for a night or weekend with your special someone without a super high price tag, these suites are very affordable compared to places like the Sybaris.

We are looking forward to our next visit at Fantasuites and plan to book a family stay in the Wild, Wild West suite very soon. I know that our children would love it.

Wish that there were more photos of the suites on the site, the ones there really do not show as much as they should of these fun suites. Posting some shots from Pharaoh's Chambers.

Room Tip: The oversized whirlpool tubs are great.

Management and the entire hotel staff thank the authors for speaking about the various theme suites they experienced and for noticing the improvements / rennovations that have taken place more recently. Such improvements can best be noticed by our repeat customers. The honorable authors of this review certainly qualify for that. The staff felt good at getting complimented on their effort which will definitely encourage them to do more on the road to reach and exceed customer satisfaction.

We had a good stay, however when we checked in (about 4:30) our room wasn't ready. The desk clerk told us we needed to come back in an hour or so. I asked "Isn't check in 4:00?" She said yes but your room is not ready yet. Not really what I wanted to hear after driving 112 miles to stay here for our anniversary get away. So we drove around in the rain for about an hour. When we returned no one seemed to know if it was ready yet, so they left me waiting at the desk to go look. The room was cool and we did finally enjoy our stay. Oh-the Ice machine down the hall didn't work either. That kinda sucked. Over all- not too bad of a value but I would rather pay more for a room to have a more professional staff.

Management respects the author's genuine review and thank him for sharing his honest experience. Management also appologizes for the incovenience encountered during the check in process and promise to eliminate such flaws. As for the ice machine, when maintenance attended to it, it turned out that somebody, most likely a guest, had literally unplugged it. The front desk, if and when informed, normally takes action as there are two other ice makers on site. Again, all observations will be addressed seriously and appropriate corrective actions will be taken. We value decent reviews that contribute to the continuous improvement process.
