“Nice place to stay, but no extra blankets?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2014

We recently stayed at this hotel with my family. The room had two queen beds and was nice sized. The property was clean and well-kept. Staff was friendly, but when we asked for an extra blanket, we were told they had none. Hard to believe that a hotel doesn;t have even one extra blanket for their guests. Beds were very comfortable compared to many I've slept in. Overall, decent experience. Had they provided an extra blanket would have made four stars in my book.

We stopped in to this property late on Christmas day with no reservation. The lady behind the counter was very courteous and truly professional. She tried hard to anticipate our needs and make sure we had everything we wanted. One of those things was a roll-away bed. This property charged $20 for a pretty poor mattress roll away. She quickly brought it to our room and would not accept a tip. The low price of the room made me not question the roll away price which is about double what other properties have charged us in the past.

The property has been recently remodeled and is very nice. The remodel was quite extensive. The property is smaller than others that are near by, but that is not a negative. The shower was perfectly acceptable at a decent height and water pressure. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was above average and we were able to take advantage of it and get on the road early the next morning. My family will often balk at the free breakfast in a hotel and force a long stop somewhere on the road if they are not happy with the hotel offerings....not this time!

Upon check-out there was a problem with our bill. I brought it to the front desk and there was some difficulty getting it corrected. I think that the front desk may not have the authority or ability to make changes or charges. The clerk had to make several calls to try to reach somebody who could finally help. The changes were then faxed or emailed to the front desk and I received a copy. They still had the charges wrong (at least compared to what we were told at check-in), but I didn't want to argue. I left quite upset and suspicious of the entire property. I decided not to review the property until the charge hit my statement. The good news is that I checked my statement today and the charge was completely corrected! I did not have to do any follow-up and they figured it out and made the correct charge. Now it is even slightly less than we were quoted at check-in! Happy, happy, happy!

Rooms had in-room coffee, microwave, and mini fridge. Pool looked nice, but we did not use it.

Room Tip: If you need a roll-away, ask them to pick out their best one and cross your fingers.

A friend and I stayed at this Comfort Inn while traveling last week. Everything from check-in, to the indoor crystal- clear heated pool with towels, to the spotless room and breakfast was above par.

My friend and I both arrived at different times and there was a slight problem at check-in but the owner-Mgr came up to the desk and cleared up the glitch in just a matter of seconds. She was very kind as well as the front desk staff later that evening and in the morning upon check-out.

The room was very clean, had a mini-fridge and a work desk, which were all perks. We had a room near the elevator but didn't hear a sound. Their rooms must be well insulated as we didn't hear a peep from our neighbors or their TV's either. Sometimes this can be an issue but was not here.

I would not hesitate to stay at this Comfort Inn again as it is very evident that the owner/Mgt and staff really seem to care that their guests and, that they have a positive experience with comfort and service.

There is a 24 hr White Castle adjacent to the hotel as well as a Cracker Barrell restaurant. It's is very convenient to the on/off ramps of I-70 @ exit 104 in Greenfield, Indiana.

Room Tip: We had # 206 facing the back of the hotel. Very quiet, even though we were 2 rooms down from the...

We make annual trips to the East Coast to visit family and have stayed at this property many times. Something has gone wrong!!! Unfortunately we will have to find another hotel in the future. 1) the registrar was unfriendly and not at all helpful regarding info on where to eat. 2) the elevator was very noisy/shaky and seemed like it might not be safe. The elevator itself had a very dirty floor and the wall around the outside of the elevator was very worn looking. 3) the bathroom door in our room had a big dent in the wooden door that looked like someone had punched it. 4) The dark colored bedspread was stained with something light-colored---whitish.
I could only imagine what the substance might have been. We had to remove the spread and sleep without a cover. I offered to request another bedspread for my family member but she said she didn't think it would be any better. It seems that the Choice Hotels management need to make a visit to this property and decide whether they want to improve the property or just simply shut it down. The standards have definitely been reduced and we are very frustrated since we no longer feel that we can count on knowing that if we choose a Comfort Inn it will be satisfactory.

Have stayed in this same hotel twice before as the mid point on visits to family in the mid west with no problems. Stayed in the same exact room again this past week and was greeted by several inch long beetles both dead and alive. Then found a used wash cloth from a previous guest hanging on the shower curtain rod. Other than that the room was nice. The breakfast was okay. Called the front desk to report the problems with no reaction. Not sure that I would stay here again. There are other new hotels just a few yards away

Conveniently located off I-70 just off the freeway, this Comfort Inn was all we needed after a long 11-hour drive. The rooms were well appointed with all the amenities and a welcoming comfortable bed. The breakfast had a decent variety of food stuffs, including fruit. Even grapefruit! The only real places for concern was in their food selection. There was no unfrosted cereal, no bran (such as raisin bran), and their two selections of oatmeal were also pre-sweetened. Too many sugar items! They would also do well to purchase a higher grade of plastic utensils as the ones provided were not even up to the job of spreading cream cheese onto a bagel. Other than these minor items, we enjoyed our stay.

We got in late, 11:30 pm. First room was suppose to be smoke free, the smell hit you when you opened the door, they were great in getting us a new room. After we started to settle in there was a bug crawling under the desk, hit that one with a shoe. Saw two more caught two more and flush them. Turned down the spread and caught one more. Checked around for more, did not see any, at this time it was 12:15 and we were beat. Next morning told the front desk, they did take $12.00 off of $89.00, will never stay at another Comfort Inn.

Please accept our apologies. We understand your concerns. Let me assure you, we are actively trying to control this sudden influx due to the high temperatures in the summer months of this year. The bugs you see are beetles & harmless, entering during the nights thru automatic door,a/c vents etc. They fly in from outside the hotel. We do not have any bug issues inside the hotel. All our rooms are new & clean.
