“Too much salt”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

We have been wanting to go to the Indigo Duck for a long time and we finally made a drive to Franklin on Father's Day for their brunch. This is a quaint Little place with very helpful and friendly staff. The pastries were excellent, good coffee but both of our eggs dishes were much too salty. I said something to the waiter and he was very accommodating and removed my dish from the bill without my having to ask him to do so which was very much appreciated. Although our experience was not what we had hoped for I would give it another try. This establishment seems to prioritize making their customers happy.

“Inventive and Soulful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

Excellent food, atmosphere and service! The fried green tomatoes were delicious, as well as the duck with risotto and the shrimp with grits. Finished off the meal with a wonderful Kahlua martini. Would definitely recommend!

“Worth dodging the construction”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

The wife had had a long day and Weds nights is half price bottle of wine night so i decide to treat her to dinner out (easier than me making it!!). Indigo Duck is one of our favorite places to go on the south side. Although the construction is obviously affecting their business it did not effect the quality of the food or the selection offered as specials. My wife had the goat cheese marbles appetizer with pepper jelly followed by the rabbit small plate special. They call it a small plate but we got two meals out of it. I had the hot bacon and spinach salad (I always get it.....I love it here) followed by the BBQ ribs. we were both more than satisfied by our meals. We then shared the butterscotch creme brulee for dessert. The rabbit dish was very rich but by only eating half of it she had plenty of rrom for the dessert. Over all the food was very satisfying and we can't wait to go back. Hopefully it won't be a treat because of a tough day but because we just want to go there. In fact while there we made reservations for next month when out of town company is in town for a visit!! Certainly a gem in a small town. Definitely worth fighting through the construction.

“Wonderful menu”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

A very different menu but very good food. Friendly staff answered all our questions. It was a cozy atmosphere and a very welcoming place. Sharon & Butch from the Flying Frog B&B were our hosts. They were most helpful with ordering a fine meal.

“from near & far they come”

This little restaurant on the courthouse square is worth the drive from any where. It is classy, comfortable, affordable, and delicious.
