We stayed here 3 nights after our 69 yr old sewer pipes collapsed the day after Thanksgiving. We live in Evansville and I picked Days Inn as it the nearest to our home and the price was only $42.99 per night. Our room and bathroom were clean and no bugs like other people reported!! I did notice how dirty the elevator was, however.
The continental breakfast was below my standards so we ate out all 3 mornings. The staff was friendly at the desk and when I asked for extra towels and a light bulb the items were given to me right away. The people who worked the desk that weekend appeared to be from India. I was upset that their teen daughter worked the desk by herself for a period of time and was babysitting her little brother who looked about 8 yrs old. I could not see any adults in sight and considered calling the police but my husband talked me out of it. He said the teen girl may have been older but just looked young and I should not call the authorities on them.
Since the room was clean I would stay there again due to the good price of the room. By the way the mattress was perfect so maybe it was new!! Pillows and sheets appeared to be new, also.
Yes, there is a gentemans club nearby which has been in trouble with the law. It is painted a bright purple color.
I counted only 10 cars in the parking lot Thanksgiving weekend which is not a good sign. Our room faced the parking lot and we looked out of our window often and counted cars.
I was homesick for our house and we moved back in Monday after expensive repairs were finished.

My huaband and my 4 year old boy stayed in this so called hotal as I call it Cockroach Inn. We moved to Evansville and was looking for a home. The prices was good for us to stay,but it was a night mare. You could not leave any food around because of the bugs were so bad. At night they would crawl on the wall above your head and in the bed with you.As you would take a bath you had to get the bugs out of the tub first. also this hotal is for the topless bar next to it. Parting goes on every night all night long,doors slaming on all floors,drug dealing going on and the owner did nothing to stop this even the new owner.,As we went to work one day all my 4 year old boys toys and some of our things were stolen from the new owner and the maids.The owner did nothing about this.Had proof of this one maid gave back our s.s cards birth records and so on.Told me the new owner and one maid took everything that was missing.I would not stay here ever again it is not a place for a family to stay maybe if your into parting,drugs and bugs this place is for you!!!,But just keep an eye on your belongings!!!!!

Price seemed to be good, but bed was awful. Mattress should be replaced.
Sheets had holes in them. Hall ways and elevator were hot. There was a roach on the bathtub in the morning. There was no bath soap. In the end it was not worh the money I thought I saved. I'm not doing this to win a contest. I just want people to know how it is and hope the hotel owners will see this and correct the situation.

1. We arrived late at night, about 10 pm. Parking area was not well lit. Entrance to parking lot was very hard to find and was covered with water.

2. Elevator was dirty, carpet and wallpaper in 2nd floor elevator area were ripped and stained.

3. Hallways were hot and damp, not well-lit, & did not appear to be very clean.

4. Mold in bathtub, drawers under TV needed cleaning, half-eaten ice cream container left in refrigerator, opened pack of cigarettes in desk drawer (this was a non-smoking room), holes in sheets, stains on sheets and pillows.

5. Ice machines in breakfast room and on 3rd floor were very dirty, had mold.

This situation was very surprising to us because other Days Inns have always been free of these issues.
