I really expected this place to be equal to maybe Joe's Crab Shack or maybe Red Lobster, but it was so much better!!!! The "Bang Bang" Shrimp was amazing and our 3 cocktails were top shelf.
My wife had the Ahi Tuna Steak (well done) with broccoli and I had the sirloin steak (medium) with Maryland style crab cakes and potatoes Au gratin. We shared the Macadamia Nut Brownie for desert.
Everything was amazing. To say we were pleased would definitely be a huge understatement. The food was absolutely delicious. Every bite was a reward and each bite seemed to be better than the last. What an beautiful experience.
Our server, Toni (female, hopefully spelled correctly) was very good. She was attentive, but not intrusive and very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu items. And, since it was my wife's and myself's anniversary there was a free treat given at the end of the meal.
Our meal (as listed above) was $94. More than fair for such a great evening.
We both loved the atmosphere, and the ambience is great. We most certainly will be back.

Evansville is home to many chain restaurants - most of which are located in a small area. When Bonefish came to town several years ago we were thrilled to finally have a more upscale seafood restaurant. We are in the middle of the country here -- any seafood we get is flown in and until Bonefish our options were very limited. As of Black Friday, the restaurant is now open for lunch -which my husband and I discovered by chance just this week. And we were thrilled. Those who don't like to brave the evening crowds will find this new lunch service a nice alternative. We both had their tacos -- he had the bang bang shrimp and I had the blackened fish. Incredible. The pesto cous cous on the side was also terrific. The portions were just right -- not so much that you have to drag a box home (or feel overstuffed) and the ingredients were fresh with interesting combinations. Presentation and service were both excellent. This is not a 'cheap' restaurant in any way. The ambiance is upscale, it's still a place in the evening where people gravitate for the bar and the martinis, and the food is what the name implies -- heavy on the seafood. If you aren't a seafood fan there are other options, but avoiding the fish also means avoiding what the chain is known for doing well. We were so thrilled with our lunch - we will be returning.

Since this is a national chain I suspect what I experienced could be a template for what you could get at any of the others. YMMV. The decor and atmosphere are very nice. I typically avoid chains but this was not my choice for this visit. The staff was helpful and attentive. The waitress certainly overstated their scope of competency in the kitchen as well as their command of seafood. The Bang Bang Shrimp is more suited for an Applebee's or TGIFridays. The fish and chips were suitably pedestrian and average. Chewy, overcooked scallops and a broth for mussels that was perhaps complementary. A wedge salad from what have been the smallest head of iceberg lettuce ever. Their colossal shrimp were jumbo at best. And you can't expect a seafood restaurant to have good steak or to cook it properly.

Don't get me wrong, everything was kinda alright. But Bonefish Grill puts on airs (and prices) of being slightly upscale. They are that, but in decor only. Again, the staff was fabulous, the room was nice, but as far as good goes it was what you would expect from TGIApplebees.

This is our favorite date night restaurant. Excellent food and atmosphere. Tables are a bit too close, but we still enjoy our visit every time.
