“Hardly Amish”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

Ample selection and decent salad bar. The only thing Amish about it is the name. I wouldn't even call it home cooking. The price is decent and the staff is always friendly. If you want the true Stoll's experience make the drive to Greene County Indiana for the real thing.

“Amish Buffet - supreme”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

Amish food at its best. This is a buffet but they take great care to make sure the food is fresh and doesn't sit around - the fried chicken is perfect. Add in the mash potatoes, gravies roast beef, turkey, fried fish, - dumpling noodles, stuffing and an ever changing variety of veggies. The spinach is the only unyummy thing we've ever tried. The dessert selection is great - pies, cakes, cobblers. And you must have the fresh bread and eat it with the sauces - there is a an apple butter that is excellent but my fave is the peanut butter mixed with marshmellow cream - sounds odd and doesn't really look like much but MMM MMM. Eat there you'll be full, happy and know why Amish have to do so much manual labor - food like this you need to burn some calories

“Amish "Style" cooking”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

Stolls is one of several Amish style restaurants in the area. This buffet type dining is popular with the large eaters. Certainly one can get their moneys worth with over twenty different offerings. I found the food typical of these buffets. Not bad but certainly not great.

“Nothing bad about the visit.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012 via mobile

This was our first visit to Stoll's. We found the atmospjere to be great for family dining. The tables were spaced nicely without crowding issues in some locations of this type. The variety of food was great, and the food was hot and fresh compared to other buffets. I thought the price was high, but that it about average for large buffets. The satff was very friendly and courteous. We did not have any issues. The authentic Amish food is great. The desserts are excellent. The crusts on the pie tasted like homemade. Will very likely visit next time through the area. The location and restrooms were clean. The only issue, which is not the fault of the restaurant is the connecting road to Hwy 41 is very dark at night.

“Fried chicken is great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012 via mobile

Enjoyed all the vegetables, and the fried chicken was fresh and moist. Buffet style. Salads are weak, but great pies. German style potato salad is very good.
