I stayed one night at this Hampton Inn, an overnight stop as I was driving toward home on I-64. I chose this location, on the western edge of the Louisville metro area, so that as I hit the road the next day heading west, I wouldn't have to drive through the city rush hour traffic.
I really like Hampton Inn hotels. Their rates are not bargain-basement level, but as a solo traveler I appreciate the overall quality of the hotel, the cleanliness, the level of service, and the comforts (can't remember ever finding a worn-out uncomfortable bed in a Hampton Inn).
This hotel lived up to my expectations of this brand. It's conveniently located off the Interstate, with a good choice of restaurants and some shopping right across the road. The desk staff were pleasant and helpful and my room was clean and comfortable.
I arrived in time to have a good dinner at a nearby restaurant after I checked in, and then to drive into the historic area of Corydon and saunter around the old town square. I recommend that if you have time. It's a nice break from sitting in the car on a long road trip.
