We had a family vacation planned to Holiday World and Splashin' Safari with reservations at Lake Rudolph for Wed. and Thurs. night. Because we weren't sure about weather conditions for our days at Holiday World; we decided Tue. morning to head out and stay near Santa Claus, IN. in order to abbreviate the 5 hour drive from our home straight to Holiday World. After researching online, we settled on the Holiday Inn Express in Corydon, IN; which is about 30 minutes or so away from Santa Claus. I made reservations online for a check in the same day. We received an excellent rate as my husband is a police officer. I am from the school of thought "you get what you pay for" so I was a little nervous but figured it was only for a place to sleep. When we arrived, the exterior was clean and landscaped beautifully. My husband and daughter went in to check in while I stayed in the car with our 2 year old. They came out with cookies, 4 bags of microwave popcorn and 4 chilled bottles of water.
The room was clean and comfortable, the bath clean (no hair behind the door!) and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was nice and we were able to enjoy it for about 20 minutes before it closed. There is a super wal-mart, culvers, cracker barrell, o'charley's and more on the property. We overslept and missed the breakfast but my husband was able to snag some fruit and muffins for the kids. This is a nice hotel if you want to get a bit closer to Holiday World. I highly recommend it!

My husband and I recently stayed at this Holiday Inn for 4 days while our floors were being refinished. We had a two-room jacuzzi suite, which, at roughly $120/night is an excellent value. Two large rooms, jacuzzi tub, sleeper sofa, two TVs, armoire, microwave, and full-size refrigerator. The only complaint I have is that the upholstery on the sleeper sofa had a number of very obvious, noticeable stains on it. I did tell the desk staff, who were apologetic but no action was taken while we were there. They may have been waiting until we vacated the room, which was fine with us but still it does reflect a laxness in the housekeeping. Anyone walking past the couch would notice the stains, so it should have been taken care of. Otherwise the room was spotless, although the faucets in the bathroom and the jacuzzi were showing major wear (they worked fine, just looked bad).
As for the rest of the amenities, pool is small but clean. Didn't use the public jacuzzi since we had one in our room. Fitness center is just two treadmills. Complimentary breakfast is excellent - great cheese omelettes, biscuits/gravy and sweet rolls. Overall, the hotel is great, and we'd stay there again.

We stay at the award winning Holiday Inn Express in Corydon Indiana.The first thing you notice is the beautiful landscape and the pond with bench to sit at and watch the fish.
When you step in to the lobby you see a grand stair case and a beautiful lobby.
There was fresh homemade cookies at the front desk which my kids and I loved.
The staff was great and friendly even the housekeeping staff spoke to us as we rode up the elevator to our room. It was so nice to have a microwave and refrigerator in the room for my husbands medicine. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool as we enjoyed the hot tub.
They had a hot breakfast that was great. The shower is wonderful I stayed in it for a long time and there was plenty of hot water, what more can I say this was the best stay we have had for the best price I will stay there again. Good choice.

A really nice new property with free parking and inside corridor rooms. Nice decor, clean and inviting. Extremely pleasant staff from front desk to housekeeping. Great location right off I-64. A giant mega Wal-Mart and shopping center is a short walk from the motel and lots of fast foods/O'Charlies within 2 blocks. Very well run free breakfast bar with attractive tables and well placed TV's for morning news shows. Our double room had small frig and microwave. Historic Corydon is a few miles down the road and features some fine local restaurants/shops around the town square. Service at this motel is definitely commendable.
