We stayed at this hotel April 14-16, 2006. We were there for a car event at Putnam Park Track. Check-in was smooth. We received a room on the first floor. The room was clean. Ample towels and toiletries. Very nice coffee station in room. There was a sheet placed by housekeeping on the dresser asking if we needed anything during our stay. Free Wireless internet. Very easy to connect. Just turned on computer and called front desk for username and password. Connected automatically and stayed on for entire stay even when I shut down computer.
Continental breakfast consisted of a great selection and variety of foods including pastries, cakes, yogarts, french toast, waffles, english muffins, cereals, juices and coffee/tea. There is a nice sit-down area with good size tv. Hotel was sold out, yet food was always plenty. Never seemed to run out of anything.
Check-out was great.
There is a BP gas station, Wendy's and McDonalds all within walking distance.
My qualms of this place is that the room seemed a bit aged. The bathroom has a good shower, but the tile floor seems haggard. I always felt that I needed to wear shoes in the bathroom. The room was very clean, but felt a bit old.
There is not much in choice if you want to stay near the Putnam Park Track. This seems to be your best bet for the area.
We paid $62/night due to discount group rate.
I am giving this hotel 4 out of 5 stars. It's a good place for the price with great breakfast and nice staff. I am holding off 1 star due to aged-feeling room.
