I hate to write a poor review of a family run restaurant, but to keep TripAdvisor worthwhile and perhaps to help a hardworking restaurant owner, I have to come clean on Donatello. I was the only person in the dining room, and as I sat there, I had to listen to piped in background music, competing with the very loud kitchen staff who were watching a television reality show (about restaurants!). All three auditory elements were turned up much too loud. If the food had been great, it might of helped me forget the obnoxious clammer, but sadly, the food tasted like it was cooked by someone who was watching TV (oops, I guess they were). The salad was a handful of lettuce thrown unartfully on a plate, and the pasta course was embarrassing. Pasta, some shrimp, and a bit of butter watered down by a heavy slosh of lemon juice. Almost inedible. I felt badly for the owners, because this meal suggested the beginning of end for the place. I can't imagine who would ever eat there and then return. Sorry, Mr. Donatello.
