Right now if you purchase gift cards of any denominations adding up to $100.00 you will receive a $20.00 gift card for free. We first visited Donatello's for fine dining so expected to pay more than you would at a larger bustling restaurant that is noisy & has a multitude of mass produced meals.
This is a small family-owned restaurant so make sure you CALL to make a reservation (on-line reservations no longer accepted). Also, the reviewers who had a bad experience (cold broccoli instead of warm green beans or mediocre bread) SPEAK UP! Since this is family owned & run, perhaps some family members were ill & they were short staffed. If you had spoken up, I am as positive as I can be without being the actual owner (dine there a lot & just had a fabulous brunch last Sunday w/a couple friends; last brunch of the "season"--will be back in the Spring) that the owner or other staff would have apologized profusely & refunded your money.
They really aim to please & consistently provide innovative, delicious meals. The brunch was VERY inexpensive. For fine dining, my husband & I ALWAYS split the entree @ restaurants (I don't need extra calories by any means & splitting entrees is plenty for both of us); we both have a salad & enjoy the bread or an appetizer or both.
