“Great Sunday brunch buffet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

We have only been to Granit City three times, all for buffet on Sunday. It is excellent, like $13.95, not a bad price considering all you get. Nice beef personally cut, omelet made to order, pork chops, veggies, cheesy potatoes and lots more. Sweet rolls and/or bread. The drink is extra. The help is good, attentive. Try it sometime. They did not charge for our 7 year old grandchild and our 5 year old grandchild. Not sure if they were supposed to, but I tipped the waitress extra. Never did understand why restaurants need to be paid for kids who after all do no eat much and always bring along paying adults.

“Pretty doggone good new beer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We've been 'Mug Club" members at Granite City in Carmel, Indiana for several years. We'd pretty much stop going except in December when the Batch 1000 was available. This time, we tried the Strong Belgian Ale. It's a triple without the name and it's absolutely delicious. We filled our Granite City glass growler and split the buffalo chicken wrap (plenty of food for us)

As for the food. We had stopped eating at GC. We found the food a bit too processed for us. For instance, we were told by a server that the reason the soups were so salty was that they were shipped in; not made there. Salt should not be the main flavor ingredient in anything. I also found the buffalo wings...well...I tried them twice and sent them back twice; once for not having any sauce on them.

But, they have unveiled a whole new menu. If they keep serving that Strong Belgian and the Batch 1000 (now on regular tap) we'll be more regular. Oh, the buffalo wrap is pretty descent.

“Looks like a supermarket on the outside and beer is so so”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013 via mobile

Decor could be improved. Beers are just ok. Appetizer sauce for the pretzels has undergone a radical change and is just plain and bland and awful. Summer shandy is skunky. Northern lights is much better

“Best Sunday Brunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

We love the Sunday Brunch at Granite City to celebrate special occasions. The Eggs Benedict station is the best! The cinnamon buns are the size of your head and endless bacon. It doesn't get much better than that! A little on the pricey side, but worth it!

“great for friends and family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013

brought my wife and 8 year old there. Food and service were great - even over the top. I definitely recommend it. Their beer is also really great. it's brewed on the premises. the restaurant is also very conveniently accessible by highway and there's plenty of parking.
