My wife and I stayed at the Doubletree for four nights in April 2007 on a pleasure trip. The hotel itself is a typical business hotel within a business park environment.
Room: what you'd expect, nice pillows, working appliances, spacious bath room.
We particularly liked the complimentary shuttle to the METRA station at Wood Dale (best connection into downtown Chicago) and a generally helpful staff. I also liked the indoor pool. The restaurant serves good dinner as well as a nice breakfast buffet (@ 9.95 per person).
I was a bit surprised at the 9.95 price tag they put on the high-speed internet access, this is something I have come to expect for free.
All in all a good alternative for someone who wants to explore Chicagoland by car and by public transport.
