Stayed at the Doubletree for business, and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly, the rooms were cozy, and everything was great. My company had a shuttle take us to and from seminars everyday and the hotel driver was great, he even took us to Metra for the train every evening. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, quiet hotel.

I booked this hotel through Priceline and paid a crazy low price for 5 rooms (inlaws and other family). We were there for a closeby wedding. Everything is close to the hotel including the airport (10 min drive), a huge mall (10 min drive) and everything else but you do need a car (downtown Chicago is about a 30 min drive) We checked in at 2AM and had to wait 40 mins for someone to help us. It was worth the wait since my father-in-law had a freak out attack and the hotel upgraded all of us to Suites. These were awesome - 2 plasma screens and a pull out couch which came in handy. P.S the warm cookies at the check-in were the best I've ever had and no prob if you want more - just ask and you'll recieve.Breakfast was a buffet (only 9.99 - low for a hotel). Food was delicious but the service was even better thanks to Mir Ali and the omlette lady - forgot her name. Apparantly the turkey sandwhich at lunch was amazing as well - according to my dad. Besides the wait at check in, this hotel was near perfect and I'll stay there again next time - priceline permitting.

We booked this hotel through hotwire for three nights. The price was excellent, less than $40 a night before tax, so that was a definite plus. We had room 158. It had two double beds, a nice sized bathroom and the shower had great water pressure. The bed was very very VERY comfortable, though it would have been nicer if they were Queen instead of full size. Oh well.... There was a nice selection of channels on the flat panel LCD TV in the room. The beds were covered with a down featherbed and the pillows were fetherdown too. Real luxury. We were given hot chocolate chip cookies on arrival and again on departure. The staff was helpful in planning our visits to the museums in Chicago. It was a very nice stay and we would stay there again. One more thing...they charge 9.95 a day for internet in your room, but if you go to the lobby to use your laptop, they will give you a code to use there and internet is free. The business center on the 2nd floor has a color laser printer that was great for printing confirmations etc. We were very pleased with our stay.

We visited Chicago on a pleasure trip over the weekend. There was a convention in town and we ended up booking this hotel through Hotwire. The price was definitely right. We stayed on the 1st floor across the pool. We would strongly suggest having a car. If you want to go downtown, park at the Purple Line Linden station for $2. Busses only run until 8 PM (we learned that the hard way).

Good:
- Friendly staff: The staff at the hotel was really nice
- Location: Close to the Airport (10 minutes by car)
- Indoor corridor
- Quiet Area: The hotel was deserted on the weekend. Being in an industrial area, there was very little local traffic as well.
- Shuttle Bus to Train Station: We didn't take it but it's a nice to have. WARNING: Only in operation from 6-9 AM and then for the afternoon rush.
- Fitness Center and Pool
- Multiple Entrances: can use a side entrance to avoid going though the smoking hallway (and yes it does smell)
- Ample Parking

Watch out for:

- Washroom size: As someone mentioned, the bathrooms are small. The lock was jammed and the bathtub filled with water and didn't train properly. With two guys, bathroom size was not much of an issue.
- Old Decor: The hotel definitely needs some upgrading. I don't know if the higher floors are better. Our furniture and bathroom were in need of repair
- Internet (no Wi-Fi) and telephone calls cost money (even for local calls) We tried the lobby phone but that didn't work
- Stuffy Room: The room was stuffy probably because the heating/air conditioning unit was right under the curtains causing them to move about and spread around dust

Overall, this was an okay hotel. Probably wouldn't stay here again though.
