This is an old picture on this review page - it is no longer a Holiday Inn. We stayed here because of the sleep/park/ride package. The hotel could use some updating, but otherwise was fine. The thermostat in our room did not shut off the heat when it got to the right temperature, so the room was over-heated, but I failed to mention this at checkout (sorry). It is a little out of the way so was little hard to find, but MapQuest solved that. Our reservation was fine and the desk confirmed out flight plans when we checked in. They told us they would be at the airport to pick us up when we returned.

The driver was courteous and knew the back way to avoid the morning traffic. The car was safe in the parking lot and much to my delight, the driver was waiting for us when we returned. It was overall a pleasant experience and I would recommend this place for the money.

Room Tip: We were assigned a king size bed but wanted two doubles, so they moved us without a problem.

My wife and I chose to stay here last week because we wanted a place to stay over night for an early flight from Midway at 6am the following day (and didn't want to leave from Indiana at 2am). We had a delicious dinner at their bar, a clean and comfortable room, and a good nights' sleep. They shuttled us to and from the airport in a timely and professional fashion. We paid under $100 w/ tax for the room and ability to leave our car there for several nights. We realized that the cost of parking alone at Midway is just a few dollars less that our park & fly package! Also, like many have pointed out, this is not a Holiday Inn anymore, though the picture above indicates that it is. Don't let that deter you.

We had our high school reunion here this fall. As detailed on another review website,
these guys are dishonest. We had negotiated with them via their former sales manager, Jill Bartkowiak (who was great...but left the hotel before our event) a cash bar in our room or right outside the room for the reunion. They didnt do it. We complained as our people were having to leave our room (where we had paid for a DJ) to go to a bar in another part of the hotel that was about 40 yards away.

Long story short, after many complaints to the night manager ("There's nothing I can do... I can't get a hold of the manager") without talking to us about it, they set up a table in our room with beer and wine. No Bartender....We thought it was free as it was their mistake and half the night was over.

Weeks later, we see a charge for $700+ dollars on our credit card. Too late to get people from the reunion to pay as they paid in advance and live all over the country. When we called to complain, they (Norma, the manager) wouldn't take our repeated calls...she was "busy doing payroll"....alllllllllll day.

Bottom line, do not hold an event there. Do not stay there (again, see the reviews on Yelp.com). Do not trust Norma Balleza, the manager (again, see the reviews on the desk help--super rude is the consensus). Do not trust the night manager as he lied to Norma when she questioned him (guessing...to save his job). The assistant manager said he told Norma, "They said it was ok to put on their card..." (That really makes sense as we had no way to collect for a bill we wouldnt get for weeks from out of towners.)

Shameful operation. Dishonest people. If Washington slept here, I'm sure he would have left after facing the Willowbrook Inn's "hospitality". If I was one the new owners of the Willowbrook Inn, it's time to clean house.

I stayed 2 nights at Willowbrook Inn for a wedding. The banquet facility & service there was great. The wedding reception was just beautiful.
The hotel, however, was just ok. There were many small annoyances; for example, the water temperature was inconsistent, the exterior doors didn't always lock, there was no fan/ventilation in the bathroom, and the walls and windows were certainly not soundproof or insulated. The biggest peeve for me was that the air was very dry. I woke up both mornings with a sore throat and chapped lips.
Nonetheless, I had a comfortable place to rest my head. I've stayed in much worse hotels before--like i said before, this place is just ok. I did hear though that major renovations are on the way.

This is NOT a Holiday Inn establishment.

The hotel needs a total makeover. Although there is a pool, there is no local bus service or train station. There are no local shops, just a nearby La Quinta and Dennys restaurant.

This hotel might be usefuI if you need a bed miles out of Chicago in South-West direction. Otherwise, unless you are driving down Interstate 55 I'd say - don't bother coming here.
There is nothing to recommend it.

First, this is NOT a Holiday Inn anymore. The desk clerk was not very pleasant when I called about a reservation due to Southwest flights being interrupted by weather and being stuck overnight. We sat outside the airport looking for a Holiday Inn van. Finally wondered why the plain white Willowbrook Inn van sitting there for so long. The driver wondered why the hotel had not called and told us he was there. The place is very run down. The hallway reeked. Seeing the doors to the laundry wide open for the entire time we were there indicated where some of the worst smell came from. The sheets were so thin and worn that I was surprised it could last a night. My room's floor may have been recently shampooed as it was damp to walk on. An associate had a room with a showerhead that was so harsh the shower was painful. Avoid this at all cost. Very worth paying more somewhere else.
