“Cheap and cheerful.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012 via mobile

I booked the family room on the Internet and on arrival we were asked to swap to one of the bungalows instead, fine by me. Rooms were clean and Dan at reception was friendly and helpful. The mini bar was cheap and it was nice to sit outside the bungalow with a beer and listen to the sea breaking on the shore.

Walk down the steps and you are right on the beach, if you're a surfer/wind surfer/kite surfer then this is the place for you. The kids borrowed a couple of boogie boards off the hotel and hurled themselves into some pretty impressive waves. All in all a very positive impression of the place.

This place is great value. The place is spotlessly clean, rooms are basic but very comfortable and you are on the beach. It has the feel that you are staying in a boutique resort. Not to noisy at night and plenty of room to sit and enjoy the views of the sea.

I stayed here for 7 nights in the dorm. It was great! The hostel is so well maintained. The pool, although small, is great and cleaned daily. The beach chairs have comfortable cushions, great umbrellas and there is also some grass that people were lying on.
Dan was great. We really became friends. He even bought me my favorite breakfast pho! He was also able to recomment a great kite surfing school and some good tours.
If you are taking the night bus there is a small lounge area with TV and computer that you can hang out at unitl the bus arrives.
Alll in all, the best and greatest value place to stay on Mui Ne.

Room Tip: There are some rooms that face the ocean in the ocean in the back.

We stayed at this resort two nights and left with good feelings. The view is good and the sea waves wash the beach beautifully. The owner was very cautious to have a sloping wall and the solid stairs built right at the back of the resort so the tourists would feel safe walking down to the beach. The rooms were clean and still looked new. It would be better to have one kettle in each room. The whole area was quiet, peaceful. And many thanks to Dan, the manager, who was always nice and helpful, very quick too, to fix the sudden problems at our rooms. The prices are quite reasonable. The restaurants, bars and coffee shops are just a few steps from the resort. The only unsatisfactory thing was that the wifi internet in the room was so slow. One suggestion is you should provide a kitchen where the tourists may cook a meal of local food themselves (Hotels/ Hostels for backpackers usually have this, don't they?). I surely will recommend this place to my friends.

Room Tip: Rooms upstairs with ocean view are excellent. You may want to get the solo room - nobody can disturb...

The facilities are clean and well-kept. I loved the natural sunlight that came into our room. Good location, close to restaurants and shops. Free internet in the lobby. It's a wonderful place to stay, but there are heaps of other affordable accommodations in this area.

Room Tip: Some rooms have a small balcony with a table and chairs. We stayed in a double bed ocean front room...

We stayed here for 2 nights. 4 of the members of our gap had a room which was very average - consisted of a bunk bed (one of the mattresses had a massive dip in the middle) and a double and it was very cramped with four people plus bags. Three of the group stayed in one of the huts right on the beach front and it was a totally different story - a lovely room, brand new bathroom and a stunning morning view. Definitely worth paying a bit more for the nicer rooms. Hotel sells an American jeep tour around the springs and does which I would highly recommend. Breakfast next door at Jibe's is also pretty great.

We started out with 3 nights and asked to change to 2 nights. We quickly decided to take the 3 rd night but then ended up staying for nearly a week. Dan, the manager, was quite helpful with booking extra nights. The hostel gets quite busy and all the rooms are very clean and well kept. I basically stayed in a double room, a twin, and both of the family rooms! All were very comfortable and fairly modern with good showers. Yes ther isn't much beach in the morning but when the tide goes out it's fine. The loungers are a great place to read a book and generally relax. Overall, I had an excellent time and would come back to stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
