I have traveled to Vietnam five times yet never had time for the coast. This trip's schedule changed and I decided to hit the beach. Ananda is the size I wanted and in a stretch of beach wide enough for walking or activities. The view from the infinity pool of the white umbrellas under the palms with the blue sky in the background is extremely memorable. I found the food well prepared and the staff working to make everything wonderful for the guests.
Why only 4 stars when it sounds like a 5 star place?
My only complaint that I think could be considered to improve the experience, would be to clean or replace the air conditioners. I stayed in the one of the beach front bungalows and the mildew-like smell was overwhelming each time I reinterred the space. I didn't say anything until my departure fearing a heavy-handed air freshened would be the solution.
