“Simple hotel on a rough direct beach”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

A small and basic hotel on the beach. The beach at back of hotel received very strong waves and I was unable to swim. Breakfast included in room rate was simple. The pool is small but looked ok. I didn't swim. We paid more to get the room next to the sun chairs area & next to the beach so this room had a bathtub. There's nothing to write about the room which was very ordinary. We ate lunch at the hotel and the cost was a bit high.

We made a booking trough the agency, because it was the pick season and it was the only one left. Maybe for 15 usd as should be normal price is worth to consider, but we paid for standard room 40 usd and 65 when we moved to bungalow. The staff was all but friendly. There is no beach, but just a small swimming pool full of loudly chinese tourist. All the facilities are very basic. Last night we have the catch out an 8 cm big bug. Or at least this was the only one we saw and based on overall situation it was not a big surprise...

Two things: great accommodations BUT you might get scammed BIG time!!!

The room was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We had a big balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean! The pool is a nice place to hang.

NOW, the restaurant is terribly overpriced but we realized almost all the town is... And we also found out that other travelers payed MUCH LESS than us for the exact same room. We payed 35usd / night, we didn't get a discount for the 3 nights that we were there and everybody else there have paid between 20 and 25 usd for the same room, in the same season!!!! That's crazy expensive and in Vietnam standards is just ridiculous !!!

SO I'm pretty sure we got scammed... It's such a shame that is run by dishonest people because the place is nice...

So we come in one night looking to book 2 nights stay.

The guys (the older guy) was nice showed us the room and told us if we paid a deposit we could reserve one room for $20 a nite, $25 dolars but if we stayed 2 nights it would be $40, this was very clear to us as we walked the whole strip and didn't want to spend more the $40. We paid a small deposit and they have us a receipt which we didnt check.

Once we come back from out time in Nha Trang we were quite excitte to stay here as it such a cute place.

When we arrieved we were told the price was $25 per night, we were very certain that we agreed $40 for the 2 nights. After a non flexible negotiantion we just gave up as we were tierd from travelling and saw that they were getting abit rude!

I especificatly asked for a room that was away from the window as the road is very busy and as you know the car and bikes beep their way. The guy agreed and promised is a room far from the road. We were given the room on the 2nd floor right by the road. We asked to move they moved us to one room next door which didn't have noise shutters so I guess we were wort off.

Beds springs are terrible both my husband and I woke up with back and head pains second night tried o sleep facing the other way but all the same.

The noise was as expected, very noisy especially at night and all quite down the cars and bikes sound louder.

Blanket is for 1 person only, we spend the night half covered, very small towers.

Air conditioning was very weak and we ended up just using the fan.

BREAKFAST- when negotiation the price we were told breakfast would be included. First morning we were given a menu with prices. Questioned this and the guy who was serving us got very angry saying that no breakfast was not included, at this point we were getting very angry and he brought us the right menu with that I HATE YOU look.

Smiles don't get you any were, we don't hold grudges and always try to be nice to people. During our stay no smiles from the staff they just had thay terrible look of we don't need you here.

How stupid of me thinking they would consider letting check out a whole hour later, was silly to even ask but the answer was straight you stay 1 hour u pay $5!

It was for sure the worst place we stayed ever in our 12 years of traveling.

Just now was speaking to a lady who has decided to check out for the same reasons she said she has been in Mui Ne 4 time and this is the worst treatment she had so she is moving to another place. She agreed that the people here are just not nice.

Stay away from this place there are so many nice people to be arround in Vietnam don't surround your self with the miserable money hungry ones even us that are easy going felt this place deserved a truthfull review so other travelers don't experience what we did.

We seemed to get a very new room, which was very spacious and included kitchen, sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. The only downside for the room was that air con was only present in the bedroom, but this may be because the room hasn't yet been 100% completed. The staff were extremely helpful with beach suggestions, tours, bus tickets, etc, so we don't have a bad word to say about this! 4.5 out of 5.

Came to Mui Ne and looked for less expensive rooms. This place has a nice location close to the beach. The room was $15 and had fan, cable, double bed, fridge and a bath. Air con was $5 more. The place was spotless and freshly painted. I loved the area by the pool, where Sun beds etc were situated. Pool not massive but adequate for the price. The place looked lovely at night with all the lighting and decoration.

I stayed for 5 nights in a US$15 room with a fan, it was clean, a good size. I was concerned as it was upstairs on the road end, Room 304, but the room had glass shutters that open and an inner sliding window which means there is very little noise and with two sets of windows you can get a lovely breeze and the room was always cool.

It has beautiful gardens which lead down to the pool, deck chairs and the beach and is located amongst lots of restaurants. There is a nice restaurant on site, reasonable prices and a food area to sit and relax to talk to others.

The staff were good and very helpful. I did have a small problem with my bill but I felt it was just a mistake and they sorted it for me.

Only other issue was wifi was not that strong in my room sometimes, but fine down in the restaurant area.
