“Unfriendly staff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2015

We booked the room directly with them when we arrived. The lady at the reception counter is not welcoming at all. When i asked how much is the price and for the wifi password in order for me to check which rate is better internet or direct with them, she gave me an annoyed face and keep forcing me to make decision a.s.a.p. The staff there was not that helpful and friendly at at all! They need more customer service training. Location of the hotel was good. We got a family room facing the pool and beach. The view was superb. We realize that our charging plug was different from them and asked if they could help us if they have any spare adapter to borrow. But this lady at the counter wanted to charge us 100000dong for charging. But we are not going to pay. In the end she agreed. They are just trying their luck to get more money for their own-self. The 2nd day there was a black out. Luckily we are checking out in an hours time. Overall this hotel is good for family And fr the location and viiew. Room is not at the best as there was a big bug in the room. Will think twice if ever to come back to this resort again.

I stayed here a year ago and was happy with the hotel. But this time the owner has made quite a few changes. The restaurant has been moved to the hillside block and the old restaurant is now a brand new reception area. Also the rooms have been renovated and fitted with new windows and doors. It is much quieter than before but still with the great views over the South China Sea.

This hotel offers spacious rooms for a good price (for Mui Ne standards). We paid 28 USD for a three person room with aircon and a private bathroom. There is are two well maintained swimming pools, a reasonably cheap restaurant and the front side lays directly at seaside. Staff is helpful.

Hai Yen is a really nice place with a see view and beautiful pool. The hotel has a new rooms and budget rooms - little bit older, but still clean. Daily room service and extra towels for the pool make the stay really comfortable. The restaurant is just across the street with a good food for affordable prices. The stuff is really friendly and very helpful!

Thank your for a great time and your help!

We had a cold welcome by the receptionist girl who had kind of an attitude when we arrived. Without any greetings she took our passports and merely handed over a piece of paper which had the check out time highlighted and this was the only thing she reminded us. However, when on our second evening our camera was stolen from the poolside by a French guy (who was also a guest), the other staff members were really helpful finding the security tape, identifying the thief and mediating and translating between the police and us. The male receptionist and quasi manager had good english and he was really willing to help in any matter. The pool and the garden was nice and relaxing (until a family arrived with at least 6 kids and took it over).

The hotel room (economy double, hillside) was really small. Ok for a few days but if you intend to stay longer it becomes claustrophobic. Wifi in the room was rather sketchy. The beach this time of the year disappears from in front of the hotel and migrates to the west side of the bay. Kitesurfing is also far away in the west side of the bay. There were tiny geckos that could sneak in under the door and at night they made freaky noises. Room had giant spiderwebs with spiders in them. Cleaning staff made a racket in the mornings and they were very pushy and hovering outside our room when they wanted to clean it. Another day they never came to clean. The pool was nice and relaxing but because lacking any pool policy our last morning we were woken up (and i guess all the guests in the rooms around the pool) by screaming kids at 6 in the morning playing and jumping in the pool. Unless you're a family that gets up at 6 in the morning for kids to play in the pool then this resort likely isnt for you. We stayed here 3 nights and we intended to stay in Mui Ne for a month so before checking out we asked if they can give as a deal of some sort (maybe a bit bigger room) if we stay for a month but the deal sounded rather ridiculous. We walked along the strip and asked around about prices to have an idea and there are a lot of places with more reasonable prices with better locations so we did not stay any longer.

Room Tip: Hillside rooms are further away from the road so they are more likely to be quieter.

If we don't miss the bus I don't want to stay longer. And your staff can be nice to customers who have problems at already. So owner should training your staff how can be nice? I will never get back anymore.

We spent time in Muine for 2 days. The hotel is very convenient since it's close to bus station and restaurants. There are 2 sides of the hotel. One is beach side and another one is separated by the street. We stayed in building on street side. The room is inexpensive and clean. The staff especially Mr.Ni is very friendly and provide lot of information about 1 day trip package, transportation and good restaurants. He is very helpful. There are 2 swimming pool. We can use both of them. I really recommend this hotel.
