“Kid-sized Zoo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Oriented to kids younger than 12 years old. Large enough to keep their interest. Variety of domestic animals (horses, cows, goats, pigs, etc) and local wildlife (bobcats, eagles, owls, turtles, etc.). The kids can get close to the animals with opportunities to touch some of the animals under the supervision of friendly dedicated staff/volunteers. Free for Wheaton residents.

Brings local nature in alignment with where we live and how we help preserve the environment. Christmastime is always a great time to visit.

“Good size zoo for smaller kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

Good value $5 adult/ free for town residents. Cute little zoo, had a peacock, owls, deer, llamas, miscellaneous farm animals, barn area. Picnic area available too along with food available for purchase. The exhibits were geared towards children. The duck pond was fun.

“Another day at the zoo.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

We enjoyed our visit to the zoo, we go to zoos probably close to 15 times a year so this was kinda another day at the zoo for us, but its always fun to get out and about. I found a highlight for my little ones to be the caboose full of play toys, and its out of the sun so its a nice breath of cooler air on a hot day. My kids liked watching the deer frolick in a large space which I myself found pretty cool too. We stopped hear as a halfway point between Indy and Wis Dells, its exactly halfway so it was a nice way to give the kids something to look forward to, and keep their minds busy the rest of the trip. Cute place, although I don't expect to visit again anytime soon, I would love to have a place like this in my own town, and admission was very reasonable. Theres also a nice sizeable picnic area for famillies and school trips.
