I booked this hotel on Expedia in November for graduation weekend (May). I paid in advance the "Expedia Special Rate" of $79. My parents and I pulled in, my dad goes in to check in and comes out and says, "The manager says Expedia didn't pay them and I had to pay again."
Well, needless to say, it doesn't matter to me whether Expedia paid them or not! I booked the hotel and paid for it six months ago and I DON'T want to pay for it again. The charge has been disputed and my dad will not have to pay it. My suspicion is that not only did they get the money from Expedia, they were trying to deliberately charge us twice. If these scammers try it 100 times, probably half of guests will forget that they already paid six months ago. I suspect they make quite a tidy profit running this. I plan to turn them into the Better Business Bureau.
I didn't stay in this hotel, but my parents did. They said it wasn't that bad, and looked better inside than outside. But since you'll have to pay for it twice, it better be damn good!
