We've stayed here on three occasions and each visit was worse than the one before. The last time, and I mean the LAST time, we were booked for two nights. When we returned to the room for the second night it was just as we had left it. No clean towels and the bed was unmade. I went to the desk and after much shuffling around they admitted that they didn't have us checked in and didn't know the room had been occupied. At least they didn't charge us for the phantom night.

Oh my God is all I can say. Please, please publish this so that others will not have to go through what we endured. First of all o.k. Urbana is a college town and we were taking our daughter to band camp and just wanted an affordable hotel close to University of Illinois. Let me start here -- this and only this is a positive for this establishment and that a new Dunkin' Donuts is across the street.

We drove up and the pool they advertised was dark green with floating material on the top of it. The rooms were boarded up with silver duct tape holding in place the room allotted air-conditioners.

The check in process took about 10 minutes because the attendant did not seem to know what he was doing. He gave us keys but neglected to tell us that for our safety???? we could not open the room keys from the outside.

The rooms were smelly and dirty. The beds hard - the overhead vents dirty and loud. The toilet handle had to be held down to flush the toilet.

We were give 2 skimpy bath towels my husband had to use the floor mat to dry himself off with.

When to my surprise I turned on my hairdryer our electricty went off in the room.

My husband went down to the lobby and advised the attendant.

10 minutes later we called down and the attendant said he would have to give us another room to finish showering and getting ready to check-out.

Guess what???? They gave us someones dirty room that had just checked out to get ready in.

Let me tell you that this Travelodge is not fit for anyone and I mean anyone to stay in.

Imagine we thought this would be a special night out of town for my daughter b/4 starting her week at camp.

Please do not go to this hotel or you will be sorry.

I have never stayed in a place like this before. It smelled, it was dirty, there were holes in the carpet, the bedspread & the sheets. The bathroom was dirty and the shower leaked all over the floor. When I called the company to complain, they told me I had to take it up with the local management. Needless to say, they never returned any of my phone calls. I don't recommend this place at all.
