We stayed here 4th of July weekend after getting a deal on the room with a hot tub/jacuzzi. The hot tub was slow to fill and the stopper was broken so you had to leave the water running to keep water in the tub. And then the jets didn't turn on! So basically we had a large tub in our room! Unfortunately, the hotel was full so we could not change rooms. Not to mention there was slight mildew stains around back of tub putty (a little bleach would have taken care of this!). Speaking of bleach, housekeeping cleans the rooms from 9:30 to 12:30, so if you want your room cleaned, do not have the 'Do NOt Disturb' sign out because they will pass you by and not return!
The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our suite had a separate sitting area which if you were watching TV, you would not disturb anyone in the bedroom area. The air conditioner was kicking so the room was very comfortable! The walls were thin, as was the door so we could hear the people in the room next door (Hmmm, wonder if they heard us?) and the people across the hall as they came in and out. I'm a late sleeper, and my husband rises early. Next time I'll remember to bring a sleep mask because the vanity sink is by the microwave/refrigerator and the lights shone over the bedroom area while he was shaving!
It advertises a hot breakfast, and it is, but don't expect a sit down restaurant. In fact if staying on weekend, don't expect to sit down at all! Seating is limited and the breakfast at best was more suited for businessmen-make your own waffles, pre-formed, sausage patties, cold cereals, assorted breads. They ran out of coffee and the wait for refill was about 15 minutes. In fact staff was slow about refilling everything.
The ice machine was at the end of the hall by the pool (we were in Room 122). We didn't use the pool, but it looked nice, accessible by your room key. The fitness area is comprised of a bike, stair-climber, treadmill, and multiple weight machine. All are state of the heart and very nice! Problem-no towels (only the paper variety were available), TV didn't work-or at least I couldn't get it to, and it is key accessible...of which you have to get from the front desk.
I couldn't log in with my Ipad, but used the computer (there were 2, plus a printer) in the business center which worked just fine.
Overall, it was really just OK and served our purpose of having a room close to the interstate and easily accessible fromt he highway. Oh, it was better than the Hampton Inn up the road! Our friends were staying there and they said they had drained the pool all together!
We stayed on the first floor, easy access from all building points, with black-out curtains to hold...
