We came here to see a bit of the Bulgarian countryside after being in Sofia for a couple of days. Max, the owner, came and picked us up from Yablanitsa, and took us back to Little Spring for a relaxing couple of days. My friend is a keen mountain-biker, but was a bit rusty so Max took him out on a couple of gentle tours to get him back into it again. I chilled out with a book or two – there is a great selection here as Max owns The Elephant Bookstore in Sofia so his collection is always growing/changing.
Accommodation is simple, but clean and breakfast is included . You have to go out for your evening meal, but that is no hardship when the town has a couple of good (and cheap). As a must you need to get up to the Glozhene monastery.
Can thoroughly recommend Little Spring for a relaxing time, or if you are feeling energetic you can lose it by going on one of the many mountain bike rides.
