Booked directly to motel by phone. I informed them we would be arriving very late. Had a hard time finding it as the sign was not lit at night. Person acted annoyed when we showed up.

The room smelled horrible. Carpet was not clean (dirt on it and stained). There were holes in the walls. Air vent in bathroom was caked in dust. Cobwebs in the corners everywhere. Shower curtain had mold all along the bottom. One of the mattresses was so bad it sagged in the middle (I ended up sharing a bed with our daughters and letting my husband sleep by himself because there was no way to stay out of the direct middle of the bed; it was more of a bowl shape then flat at all).

Was given the 3rd degree when I asked for extra towels the next morning so we could all shower. We had 5 people total (3 were children) and there were just not enough. Maid gave me three towels and they were the little "pool" towels (with the blue strip on it). She said "They are good enough for your kids". All the towels smelled musty and were very thin.

We stayed 3 days. Room was never cleaned in that time and never got clean towels or trash emptied.

Lots of noise. Suspect there must have been a party going on as we heard lots of loud talking and music late in the night.

For the price we had to pay, I expected at least a clean room and polite service. We got neither.

We have family in Streator and plan on returning but never again to this horrible motel! I recommend you stay as far away from here as possible.

We were told by the local medical facility to use this hotel. I would firmly recommend going the extra 20 minutes to Ottawa to stay; there is a Hampton and Comfort Inn. We have already alerted the medical facility about this hotel.

I was very disappointed in this motel. People in town tell me that it is a fairly new motel, but it looks old and worn in so many ways. I got bit by some bug while watching TV, sheets were very thin, towels and wash cloths worn out, etc. I would not recommend this motel to anyone.

Have stayed here a few times over the past several years and sadly have seen this place decline. Rooms are badly in need of a thorough cleaning, repair and redecorating. On this last visit, sheets were ripped and dirty, towels were basically see-through. The heater was loud and was either overly hot or nothing at all. The sink backed up. And every night it was the place to party - loud drunk people, complete with fights in the hallway until 3 or 4 in the morning. Not much in the offerings of breakfast in the morning - chose the local coffee shop instead. I understand that Super 8 is a franchise, but I don't know why they would want their name attached to a dump like this.
