My first visit was excellent. I had a sandwich that I had only had years before when it was made especially for myself & my golfing buddy. The sandwich was on the menu & it was delicious. It brought back many great memories. So I decided to drive back - over 40 miles - to have another 1 week later. I gave my order to the waiter who nodded that he knew what I wanted. I waited 20 minutes, until the cook - Mark - brought out my meal. It was wrong, nothing like what I ordered. I explained to him what I had ordered and he promised to bring it out soon. I waited another 20 minutes until he brought out another sandwich that was like mine, but not what I ordered. It was a combo - beef & sausage - covered in pizza sauce, which I had orderd as a side item.
Disgusted, I accepted the item & quickly took off the beef & sauce, as I was hungry. While chewing I struck a sliver of wood, which the waiter tried to palm off as gristle from the meat. He attempted to throw it away, but with my wife's insistence & that of the cook, he found it in the garbage. It was confirmed as wood from their pizza paddle. How it came to be in my screwed up sandwich - no body knows. Maybe they should use aluminum paddles. This was my last visit and you can be sure I will tell my friends of my experience. This morning I have diahhrea, probally because the pork sausage was still pink in spots when I finally ate it.
