I stayed at this hotel for a weekend with two friends because we were attending a wedding in the area. When I was searching for a hotel online, I found that this was the only newer hotel in the area, and I thought it was most likely to be the cleanest and most modern. When we arrived in Sparta and saw the other options around, I was really glad I picked this place.
The rooms: They are new of course, and the rooms are large, comfortable, and clean. The bathrooms are also quite spacious and nice. We found the beds very comfortable. The walls are quite thin (as they tend to be in all new hotels), and you can very easily hear your neighbor's television, doors slamming and people talking in the hallway.
Service: We had to wait a little while at the check-in desk as no one was around, but check-in was easy and fast otherwise. We had a problem the second night because our neighbor had the tv blaring, and we could hear it very clearly through the wall. We managed to fall asleep despite the noise but were awakened around 5:30 AM by that same noise. We called the front desk to complain, and the front desk staff member said that the guest had already checked out so she would send someone up to turn off the television in that room. It was annoying to be woken up that early in the morning after being out late at the wedding reception the night before, but at least the problem was solved promptly.
Additional services: we didn't use the pool or the fitness room and didn't really give either a look. We were pretty pleased with the free breakfast as there were a lot of options: hard-boiled eggs, french toast, cereal, yogurt, bagels, toast, cinnamon rolls, fruit, milk and juice. We also loved having complimentary wireless high-speed internet.
Overall, I was pleased with this hotel. It was very clean and comfortable, the service was pretty good, and the free breakfast and free internet were great bonuses. I thought the rate was also very reasonable and competitive with the other hotels in the area. I would definitely recommend the place to anyone.
