Say, if you are going to be spending at least $10 per person on a movie anyway, why not become a member (free) of the IPIC theaters and pay an additional $3 or so to sit in a very roomy comfortable chair with available attached trays where you can park your purchased "from the lobby" beverages and meals. Or you can add another $5 to your tab and sit in the back premium seats which are recliners with pillows, blankets, and offer in-theater restaurant service for the first 15 min. before the movie begins. That is, if these seats are available. People love them. Either way, this is the best and only way IMHO to see a movie. The only criticism I have at least for the South Barrington IPIC is that good customer service appears to be on a downward spiral. The young waitstaff in many cases is either absent (which with the more expensive premium plus chairs, you want prompt service before the movie starts) or not very friendly. There were several instances where I had to hunt down a server to get our order (and free popcorn with the premium plus) before time ran out. This doesn't happen everytime nor has it happened very recently, so my overall rating is still "very good". Should customer service improve (and it might be doing so based on recent events), then my rating w/b a 5.
