This was a Days Inn in a previous life. Seems to have had an extensive renovation. Room and lobby quality were as good as any Marriott or Hyatt. Clean, comfortable, quiet room.

A few things were different than other Holiday inns. It only had an outdoor pool which was OK but not too inviting. The free breakfast was very good. I would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at this Holiday Inn for five nights in early May. Great location close to every place we wanted to go. The room was large and very clean. It had a desk with internet access as well as an upholstered chair with ottoman. The bed was very comfortable and linens were changed daily. The daily free breakfast was phenomenal--everything from Belgian waffles to yogurt. Certainly not a usual "continental" breakfast. The staff, especially the front desk, was cheerful, helpful and very friendly. This hotel is being completely refurbished starting in June, even though it was in pretty great shape already. I think they are just interested in changing the decor and adding much-needed mini-fridges and microwaves. Currently they do have coffee makers in the room. Would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you can get an even better deal through Hotwire or the like or AAA.

Came to go shopping at woodfield mall. Though holiday inn would be reliable to stay at since there was many choices. Boy was I wrong in thinking that. The room smelled like smoke and after being changed to
a new room that rooms smelled like mold and old carpet. I would definately not prefer stay to here again. Since there are so many other options I would stay somewhere else. I think in general all holiday inns are probabbly really old and wouldn't trust the name after this experience. Sorry

Coming to Schaumburg looking at the review from the past month I thought the Holiday Inn Schaumburg would be the best place to stay. However there was no friendly staff there. The front desk girl which had checked me and my husband in was in a grumpy mood. The hallways smelled like mold and had sticky carpets. Checking into the room which was just horribly disgusting and smelled like smoke we had refused to stay there. The whole room looked like a 100 years old. The unplesant feeling of the room was so uncomforting. We will never stay at that hotel again. For travelers coming to Schaumburg area I would think twice of staying at the holiday inn in schaumburg.
