“Good food in unique setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Entire restaurant on the inside resembles Greek village. Very good food, including some Greek beer. Authentic, tasty, and not too expensive. Helpful wait staff. Definitely has the feel of a Mom and pop restaurant with nice atmosphere. A very good meal in very nice surroundings.

“Been here many times but”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

hadn't been back in a while and found the restaurant has become quite popular on weekends. We have always liked the food but in the last two visits, it seems as if the food has gotten better than ever. We enjoy gyros and the gyros plate served here is excellent. Tried the shrimp kabob last night, and I must say it was perhaps the best shrimp dish I have ever had!! In addition to the large succulent shrimp, the onlons were perfectly done! Saturday night features Greek musinc that was both soothing and enjoyable. Kudos to a special waiter, Dimitrios, who has been there for a very long time...he's great! We'll be back for sure.

“Same owners, modified menu, still the best Greek restaurant tin the NW Chicago suburbs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

We were back in the NW Chicago suburbs for a visit from our home in Kansas City. My wife is of Greek decent and this was our favorite Greek restaurant in the suburbs ( we hope to visit down town Chicago Greektown this weekend). We had heard that this restaurant had changed ownership from a previous review and we were concerned. From what we were told the from the staff the ownership is the same and the menu has just been expanded. We had a bottle of greek wine the egg Lemon soup and the dolmades and it was as close to Mom's home greek cooking as you can get. Highly recommended if you like authentic greek food.

“Still good, somethings go better some worsed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

We hadn't been to this restaurant in about a year so we were curious as to what the new owners did. The good news is that they left the restaurant about as it was. It's not cheap. You can spend $100 if you go the full appetizer, main, desert with drinks route.

Dolmades have gotten better. Octopus wasn't as good as before but I can't quite figure out why. The horiatiki salad has improved tremendously (previously dressing was pretty weak). The desert menu and wine list seems to have expanded which is good news as well.

The espresso was the only disappointment. Seemed more like just strong coffee. Not as good as Greek town but a lot closer to us in the northwest suburbs.

“We enjoyed it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013 via mobile

Very nice decor, wait staff was excellent, Sakanaki (flaming cheese) was great but beyond that we didn't really test their food quality as we only had gyros and schwarma which were good but not too much to go wrong there.
