“Lackluster”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

Considering the atmosphere the restaurant was surprisingly lackluster. The fish tacos had zero flavor, and my kid's rotisserie chicken was a big serving of rather dull white meat. It needed less chicken and more side options. Service was so-so. She seemed to never be there when we needed her. On the plus side, the place was clean (I was a little wigged out by all the vines hanging over my head but they were totally dustless).

“Totally different dining experience!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

My extended family went to lunch here, primarily as there were four children with us, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience!! There is so much to look at and experience here, plus the food is delicious and the "safari guide" waiter could not have been better! I would recommend that anyone in the area go here - even if you don't have children. It will be an experience you will enjoy and remember!

“all about atmosphere!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Very cool decorations and plenty to look at. Food was very good! The service was what kept it from getting a excellent rating. We had to ask other servers to get to our drink refills and when my son wanted a balloon we got told to go ask hostess and they said the servers get them so he didnt get a balloon. The shop is pretty cool to browse while waiting for table and plenty of places in the mall to shop as well

“Standard Chain restaurant with a LOT of flare for Kids”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

There are two ways to look at this restaurant. As a parent, it is great for kids, they love to walk around the restaurant and discover all the pretend animals and look at the variety of fish. In addition, the staff run around yelling "Volcano" for everyone who has a birthday (which is nearly every table in the place). They also give the kids a map and discovery card that allows them something to do while they wait for their food.

As an adult, the food is overpriced and very sub par. We ordered nachos and two pastas. All were very bland and very expensive. The tortellini was ok, drenched in Alfredo sauce and needed salt. The Rasta Pasta was a penne pasta with some vegs that also needed some taste. There is a decent selection of vegitariian options by asking them to remove the meat in the pasta, but then you are paying $17 for a pasta with Alfredo sauce.

The Volcano is a $13 pile of tasteless ice cream and brownie. The kids like it because of the sparkler but honestly not work the price. Also the mixed drinks are $11 because of the souvenir they come with.

Overall great place for the kids, as adults it is tolerable, but recognize your are paying for the atmosphere and not the food or the service.

“Pricey but good.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Food was pretty good. Nothing to write home to mother about though. You can't leave without getting a chocolate volcano, complete with sparklers on top! Pass on the souvenir cups though! Waiter was nice enough. My youngest was a little scared of the gorilla that was clear across the room though. =(
