We like to stay at La Quinta's when we travel because most of the time it's a great bargain and this property is no different except they have some problems..... First of all the hotel is in decent shape. The front desk and breakfast area is small, but that's really no problem. Our room was in fairly good shape and we thought clean....then we found a huge choclate stain on the bedspread. Guess what we thought it was at first :( Grossss! Also the ironing board was gone and we got the run around from the desk trying to get a new one. And finally the tub drain took a loooong time to drain. Maybe a different room would've given us a better impression. We slept well though that night. The breakfast at this property is less than average with only a few choices including toaster waffles - like Kellogg's brand ones. I might try a different hotel in the Schaumburg area next time.

We stayed three nights in May 2008 for a pleasure trip. Overall, this is a great place to stay on a budget. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooom was clean and well equipped. The only complaint about the room was that the bed was not as comfortable as we were used to traveling. This is great for sight seeing in Chicago as the free shuttle at the hotel took us to the Metra station and upon leavinging Chicago we called to be picked-up and they were waiting for us. The driver was very friendly and wouldn't even accept a tip !! A Dennys, Bennigans and Wendys is next door.
The Pace bus transportation substation is a short walk and we rode it to the Cubs game for $6.00 R/T. The Woodfield Mall is also very close. We will stay here when we return to Chicago in the future.

My sister and I spent two nights here at the end of a week long trip to Chicago. After the horrendous hotel prices in downtown Chicago, we were so pleased with La Quinta Inn. We had a very large room, coffee-maker provided, free newspaper and a superb complimentary breakfast consisting of fruit, cereals, yoghurt, toast, fruit juice and hot drinks. The stocks were replenished as necessary even only a few minutes before the official end of breakfast.
We had a car which made life easier, but restaurants and the Mall and other shopping areas were very close by. As we drove to O'Hare we went past a delightful recreation area (just the other side of the freeway) for jogging, walking and picnics and we wished we had seen it earlier.
The front desk people were so helpful. They allowed me to use their computer for me to check in online, they allowed us to check out an hour late than advertised and their directions to O'Hare were spot-on. I would return to this accommodation again if I wanted to shop at Woodfield and possibly even if I wanted to visit downtown Chicago assuming I had a car to get me to the train station.

I have to say I really enjoyed my week here. The room was comfortable it was a king room. #141 And it quiet and a above average for the price. The Continental breakfast was average. But the room was big and the AC worked great and a Big 32 inch TV. Will defiently come back again.
