I've known of Morton's reputation for years, but this was the first time I have ever eaten there. I knew ahead of time that it would be pricey, but I also know that you just can't get such high quality beef at less expensive restaurants.
My husband had the bone-in rib-eye and I had the filet. Both were wonderful. We shared sour cream mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus and finished up with shared chocolate mousse. Everything was marvelous. Our server, Mark, was outstanding. Professional without being snooty and attentive without being intrusive.
We loved it so much we started planning the next time we could indulge ourselves.
I'm so happy to go to a place with my high expectations met at every level.
