Just got back from the Marriott Suites and was very pleased with this hotel. Shuttle from O'Hare to and from hotel was nice and convenient. Room was very spacious and comfortable, especially the beds. Bathroom was large and had a separate tub and shower. The overall cleanliness was good, but the shower could have used some work. A leak was causing some mold to form around the grout. Was within walking distance from the train station to the city, which was nice. Staff was very friendly and professional. Their restaurant was okay, but there are lots of other fantastic places nearby. Overall, I'd probably stay here again if the chance arose.

“Better than I would have expected”

Chicago Marriott Suites O'Hare

Spent one night here. The suites were large and the beds were very comfortable compared to even some 5 star hotels. The room could have been a bit cleaner though. The shampoo in the bathroom was clearer used. The two TVs in the room were quite old. The desk was pretty nice and the high-speed internet was great. I thought I would hear the plans landing at ORD since it was so close, but I sleep soundly. The shuttle to the airport is quick and very convenient. I found the staff at the front desk and the restaurant to be very friendly. The restaurant was pricey as expected for a hotel, but was quite good and
had a decent wine selection.

“Good hotel near airport”

Spent a few nights here on 2 occasions during the last few months.

Overall, service at the Front Desk is quite good-even when arriving at 6 AM after a red-eye flight. Room was not ready, but one was available by about 9 AM. Wound up having some coffee and running across the street to McD's for breakfast. Even at that hour, the night auditor was very nice, and correctly set up my reservation to reflect a free night coupon.

The rooms in this hotel are all 2-room suites. The living rooms have a mini-fridge, loveseat/sofa bed, armchair and desk. Plenty of lights as well. Internet access is either through Marriott's Wired for Business at 9.95/day including phone calls, or just 3.95/day for internet only! This is wonderful. All Marriotts should offer an internet only rate. Actually, internet should be free but that is another story.

The bedrooms have a king bed with the nice Marriott bedding. Bathrooms are large with a separate sink area, a tub and a stall shower. Water pressure was good.

Marriott Suites do not have Concierge lounges so Elite members get a complimentary breakfast in the restaurant. Decent, typical Marriott fare. Service on both occasions was mixed. The restaurant could also be cleaner. The place was not busy at all any of the days or meals I ate there, but service was bad more often than not. Not mean, just inattentive. On a scale of 1-5 I'd give service overall in the restaurant and lounge a 3.

On one visit, I had a number of little issues, mainly with restaurant service, and once with cleanliness. The Manager on Duty to whom I spoke made no excuses, apologized and bought me dinner. That's what I like, no excuses, an apology and a "warm fuzzy". By the way, the Pork Chop was delicious and the Chef even put the sauce in a little cup so it wouldn't make my potatoes soggy!

One great aspect is that this hotel has a washer and dryer, and they are FREE!! You can also get the soap for free at the desk! This is a terrific plus!

Haven't used the pool, but it looks nice. There is also a business center with a computer and printer, plus a station for your own computer as well. The last time I was there, the monitor was all blue but I was told that it is being replaced.

Never had to wait more than 10 minutes for the shuttle. You can also be shuttled to the regualr Marriott down the street. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, and an Italian place attached to the hotel in an adjacent office building. Seemed a little pricey.

The Rosemont CTA station is within walking distance, maybe 2-3 blocks away. Also, a couple PACE bus routes stop right in front. Parking is $20/night.

All in all, the Marriott Suites O'hare is a nice place to stay if you are using O'Hare airport. It may be a bit far for some, it's about 45 minutes to downtown, but if you don't mind mass transit and want to save some money, check it out!

“Great Time at the Suites”

Purpose of our stay was for a romantic getaway. Unfortunately for us our getaway happened to be the same weekend as a HUGE convention in downtown Chicago so rates downtown were out of control. So we ended up staying near O'hare due to prices. Because these rooms are suites we probably ended up with a lot more room then we would've downtown. Because we didn't spend a lot of time outside of the room we didn't miss the location of downtown. Bed was great. And having a big bathroom was important as well. Also important was a coffee maker and refrigerator. So we were happy and two peas in a pod. The only thing we wished for was a little more of the finer touches of purhaps the downtown hotels. A little more ambience. However, for the price, we had a GREAT stay.

“My Favorite Hotel Near O'Hare”

Chicago Marriott Suites O'Hare

I have been traveling to Chicago and staying at the Marriott Suites O'Hare for several years now and will be returning May 2007. I travel to Chicago to visit friends and like the weekend Marriott Senior rates. In 2005 all the suites were updated with the new very comfortable Marriott bedding. And I like that there is a stand up shower in the bathroom in addition to the traditional bathtub. I usually arrive early afternoon and my room has always been ready and very clean. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes and the desk staff are very friendly. I have stayed in Marriott's Courtyard(hated the AC unit noise and you had to call to request shuttle) and Springhill Suites but they do not measure up to the convenience and great service of the Marriott O'Hare Suites. Another plus is that it is in walking distance of the CTA trains to downtown and McDonalds. I have eaten in the hotel restaurant and used room service and all my experiences have been very good. This is definitely my favorite hotel near O'Hare. My only complaint is the $20 parking fee for friends(which I usually pay) when they visit with me at the hotel.
