While staying near Rosemont, we asked the hotel for suggestions for a nice steak place. They sent us to Gibsons. There were 5 adults and 3 children. First, they would not seat us at our RESERVED table until all parties were in the building. I was instantly annoyed. Why book a reservation if they will not seat you? We were finally seated and the room was so loud and packed with people that you literally had to shout to others at the table with you. The waiter was very nice and suggested some appetizers that were not on the menu, we said that would be fine. We opened the menu and about fainted. $35.00-$75.00 for a steak and that includes NOTHING else. If you would like a side, for example a potato, it will cost you $6.50. The kids were $20.00 a piece, and this does not include a drink. Here is a link for their menu ----- . By the time the meal was through, we had a bill of $450.00. The appetizers were over $100.00 alone. We occupied the table for about an hour and a half. Our waiter had at least three other tables. We tipped him $25.00. I feel that a tip of over $50 was just crazy, neither myself or my husband make that an hour! The waiter approached our table and informed us that he usually gets at least 15% for a tip... and then stood there wanting more money. He did a fine job, however, I don't think he did $50.00 worth of service by bringing us our food.
The steak was good, way to much for even my husband to finish, the food was all very good. I would never, ever, spend that kind of money again on a meal. Totally not worth the price.
