“Great start to our honeymoon!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2011

We booked a one night's stay here so that we were close to O'Hare for our morning flight to Hawaii. Although I've stayed at other O'Hare hotels before, I never felt so well welcomed and taken care of as my husband and I were for the one night we stayed here. My husband called the hotel to confirm our reservation a couple of days prior to our arrival, and when he mentioned that we would be staying here for the first night of our honeymoon, our reservation was immediately upgraded from a standard room to a suite.

The hospitality didn't stop there though. Although our suite was not ready when we arrived to check in (it was clear that a large conference group was checking out that day), we were given vouchers for complimentary meals at O'H American Grill and asked to come back in an hour. When we went back to check in and found out that our suite still wasn't ready, the front desk staff worked persistently with the manager to ensure that we could be checked into a different room, and we wound up being checked into one of the VIP Suites.

And the warm hospitality continued. Our room service that evening arrived in half the amont of time that had been promised, and our bellman in the morning was very knowledgable about where we were going in Hawaii and offered us many suggestions for restaurants on our way back down to the lobby.

Overall, our stay at the Hyatt was a wonderful way to kick off our honeymoon. Should we need to stay at O'Hare the night before a flight again we will definitely be back!

This hotel was nowhere close to what you would expect from a Hyatt in terms of a good room. Small rooms, bad view, no bath tub in some of the rooms. Moreover their was construction going on nearby which adds to the misery. Another colleague who had room on the other side was getting disturbed with plane noises all night.

In terms of service these guys are quite efficient and everything happens quickly with a smile

A decent restaurant and drinks bar on offer.

I would say a plus for location as its close to the airport (shuttle provided). Downtown is about 18miles but train station is hardly 500mts from the hotel. Some nice restaurants nearby to grab some sizzlers and magaritas

Room Tip: Take a room in the West wing, don't take a corner room

A good night's rest is one of the most basic services we provide, and I am deeply sorry that you and your guest were unable to enjoy that here. Thank you for the comments regarding the efficient service you received with a smile. We will most certainly share your review with the team.

Overall, not a bad stay. Room service was good, but not available from 12p-4p. Room was nice. Only downside was that hotel was a full 10 minutes off the airport property and shuttle only ran every 15 minutes.

We took advantage of the park sleep and fly which allowed us to park our car in a garage and sleep close to the airport for an early AM flight. Staff was very friendly, quick check in, comfy beds and balcony which my husband likes because he can smoke. Had sushi for dinner which was a little pricy but you are in the Chicago area after all. Shuttle service prompt both ways

When the duty Manager tells you that you should not expect more from the rooms as they are 40 years old...you know you're in trouble. We booked a deluxe king regency club level. what we got was a tiny room with a king that barely fitted in an annex. The room was old, the bathroom basic to put it mildly. We ordered room service one night and they charged a delivery fee, a 22% service fee and on top of it the food was disgusting. Come on Hyatt - just because you have a location near a major trade show venue does not mean you can fleece loyal guests. very dissapointing all round and even more so as the rooms were very expensive.

We try to stay at Hyatts whenever we can and have never been disappointed. Rooms were great and dinner in the hotel bar was pretty good. Just remember that you are staying near one of the busiest airports in th world. They change their flight patterns so it is quieter at night, but if you are trying to go to bed before 10pm the jets are a lot noiser.

Thank you for your loyalty to Hyatt. You should consider becoming a member in our Gold Passport loyalty program. We are delighted you enjoyed a meal in Red Bar. The sushi there is fantastic!

Ok, again I am not the ususal reviewer but I had to write something about this Hyatt. I am a Hyatt Fan and a member of their Gold Passport Program and usually expect the best from them. This hotel has proved that NO ONE can beat them with the quality of service they provide. I am not going to give out details...but I can say they do anything to fix the rpoblem and follow up with you pretty well!
Hotel lobby is excellent A rated. Building is a little old (thats why I gave Avg rating) but these guys make up for it by again providing great service. Rooms are good with decent space with all the amenities you would expect from Hyatt. Bathrooms need to be updated but it seems like they have to invest a lot if they would decide to make that upgrade...once that happnes this can become #1 property in Rosemont.
Thank you Hyatt O'Hare!
