During the week of December 10th thru 18th, 2005 I brought my family of six to stay one night and leave the van for a park and fly. I was impressed from the minute we checked in. The clerk recommended a family restaurant one block away and it was great. It had 24 hr. breakfast. Then because it was slow we were offered a dbl. queen room with a sleeper sofa for the same price. The ninth floor view had the kids up watching the air traffic which we couldn't hear. Although there was no pool, we knew this and were leaving on a cruise. The room was large with a frige, microwave, t.v. and very clean. The shuttles run every fifteen minutes and were large and prompt. They picked up at Ohare promptly. The parking indoor garage was great and close. And I was about to rebook for June but the wonderful staff said to wait, as the '06' rates for that date were not set yet and a bit too high. It is very close to Ohare. I think the closest park and fly that I could see to Ohare. We will return in June. It is the best park and fly I have found so far in leaving from Milwaukee and Ohare flights.

I really like the Rosemont area, especially compared to Schiller Park where I used to stay during an O'Hare overnighter.

When I first got there I was rather surprised by how small the lobby and check-in area were, considering that this is a ten-story hotel. It wasn't a problem at that time [~2100], but a few hours later it was very crowded.

Medium-size room with wet bar. fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Bed was comfortable but the two pillows were flat and not very supportive. The room was immaculate and well cared-for. Good selection of cable TV.

On the ground floor you will find Harry Carey's bar and restaurant. I was there on a Saturday night and the bar was buzzing with activity. I met a few interesting characters that night. It isn't cheap though, and bring cash or credit cards as they claim to have no affiliation with the hotel itself, you cannot charge anything to your room. The next door restaurant had an impressive menu, but the prices were definitely NOT impressive. [$$$]

There are other hotels and bars within walking distance, but I wasn't in the mood when it was sub-freezing outside.

When I booked the room in advance I was quoted $89 rate, but when I checked-out the next morning I was charged $119. I don't know why it happened that way, but the desk clerk quickly fixed the error.

I would definitely recommend this HI, depending on how much they charge you.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn as an unexpected layover from the O'Hare airport. The staff at the front desk were very quick and helpful. The room was clean and had a microwave and small refrigerator. The restaurant was closing, but was nice enough to sell us some food Christmas night as we had not had a chance to eat and nothing else was open. The hotel shuttle was prompt. Not a bad place to stay when we should have been somewhere else.

I recently spent two nights in this airport property. I must say when I arrived I was impressed with my room and the very nice restaurant and bar on the lobby level. My room was very well kept, and most of the staff very helpfull. Unfortunetly my stay was upset with a very disturbing insident. Upon my checkout I had forgotten to leave a tip for my maid. I always do, if the room was kept nice and it was. Since I had already checked out I saw a lady manager and explained what had happend, She said she worked in personel and knew who my maid was she was glad that my room was well kept. So I asked her if I could leave $20 for the maid and she said sure she would give it to her. Here is where the sadness comes in. My flight was delayed for 7 more hours so I decided to stay for dinner in that great lobby restaurant. As I was having dinner guess who was at the bar? the lady personel manager. The sad thing is I heard her tell her friend this drink is on some flight attendent that left a tip for our wet-back maids. How sad is this I bet the poor maid never recieved her tip. I will recommend to my employer that we need to find a different hotel in Chicago. This just left a bad taste in my mouth.
