“The large room made it easier to organize and to move around.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

A very nice hotel with large rooms. The only reason I gave it a four is because of the charge for internet and for parking. When you drive to a hotel, you need to park your car. It is not right that you need to pay extra to park your car.
The internet should be free not 12.95 per day. We all have mobile phones, lap top computers, tablets etc. Internet is now a necessity. 99% of our comuncation is done on this equipment. All the hotels in the United States offer free internet except for the Westin.

Thank you FirstAlaskanTrip for your positive review of your experience at the Westin O'Hare! We are thrilled you had a nice time with us and apologize that you felt the parking and internet charges should be complimentary. Unfortunately to ensure we offer consistent service for both areas we need to charge a fee to manage the bandwidth for up to 2,000 users per day many of whom have multiple devices. And of course parking fees is something that all all hotels across the country must do so that it can be managed accordingly. We do offer complimentary wifi in our Lobby and Public Areas and do offer Park and Fly options that includes parking in the room rate so the next time you are traveling take a look at those options and feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience if I may assist!

Warm regards,

I call it suprise stay, because we were not planning to stay in Chicago once my husband and I were there only because a problem with our conecting flight from Vancouver. Due to bad weather conditions in Chicago (it was really cold there) our filght got delayed from Vancouver, we lost our connection at O'Hare, and United Airlines had the courtesy to accommodate us at this great Hotel for a night! The Hotel was almoust perfect! Confortable beds, spacious big rooms with great shower, the lobby, location, almost everything about the Hotel was actually flawless, however people at front desk were not very helpfull. It was our first time in Chicago and we had a few hours before our conection, they just handed out a magazine and told us where to take the train downtown and we did appreciatte that, however we expected just a little more hospitality. Well, anyway, I think despite that I would stay there again once the Hotel itself is so good.

Thank you FirstAlaskantrip for your review of your experience at the Westin O'Hare. We are so happy that you enjoyed your visit and pleased you rated us 4 out of 5 stars. We understand your feedback regarding parking and internet fees and appreciate your concern. Due to the limited space at one of the country's largest airports we have to charge for parking and do offer complimentary wifi in all our public areas of the hotel, however in our guestrooms to be able to control the necessary bandwidth to all our guests we need to charge a nominal fee. Thank you for taking the time to fill out the survey and we look forward to having you back again soon!

Got into Chicago on a Saturday afternoon around 5. Took the Westin shuttle (free) to the hotel. The check in was accurate and very quick . My room was clean and comfortable and the internet worked well and had no issues. The only negative is the food and drink are very expensive. A turkey club, fries and a coke was $18.00 at the deli. Plenty of restaurants a short cab ride away.
Great customer service.

HAd the opportunity to stay at this hotel for 3 nights in April to attend a conference. Very nice hotel, clean and well-maintained. The staff was very efficient and friendly. There is a gym, mostly aerobic equipment, an indoor pool and hot tub. The hotel is close to the airport and the hotel provides frequent shuttle service. The Rosemont CTA station is about an 8 minute walk away if you wish to get to downtown Chicago ($2.50) or you can take the shuttle back to O'Hare, but if you do take the train from the airport you will pay a 100% surcharge. The hotel has a bar and restaurant as well as coffee bar that is open mornings. There are not many other restaurants within walking distance, there is about a mile away more choices, but when I was there, the rain was coming down in buckets, and a lake formed just outside the hotel.

The hotel's restaurant, Benchmark, offers a good selection to choose from. The waitstaff is again very efficient and will go out of their way to please. It is not inexpensive, as most restaurants in business travel hotels seem to be, but the worst was paying $5.50 for a cup of coffee. I did ask the waiter if the bill was correct and he said yes. This is gouging at its best. Apart from this, the stay was very pleasant.

While the Westin O'Hare has all the services you would expect from a full service hotel, it was the Banquet staff that stood out the most as unusually excellent. From Grace, who brought out separately prepared healthy meals in lieu of the fried main dishes and heavy cakes, to her supervisors who served with efficiency and politeness, the Banquet experiences were great.
When the hot tub temperature had dropped to 98 degrees, the staff came right out and set it up to 104 instead. There are only two words of caution: parking is expensive at $25 a night, and River Road gets its name with good reason. The location right next to O'Hare is convenient, but the river will flood when rainfall exceeds half a foot.

This hotel has been renovated and looks appealing. However, things don't work and the service leaves a lot to be desired. Here are the things I experienced between 2012-2013 for three business stays. No hot water one morning; a toilet that backed up and overflowed; a shower that is not separated from the remainder of the bathroom by anything except the curtain so that the water ran out into the bathroom and I had to use all the towels to soak it up; nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom other than on the pedestal sink; a broken fridge; movie charges of $16 and UP; no premium cable channels; an iHome alarm that never went off; a majority of the staff that speaks so fast they cannot be understood, and they don't listen or seem knowledgable about anything; no internet service for a business meeting; boring food; inability of front desk to give driving directions; unavailable hotel manager who doesn't even seem to have voice mail. That's it off the top of my head! Considering all the hotels near O'Hare, you'd think Westin might hire better people to keep this one competitive.

Traveling through O'Hare on the way back to the west coast. Just off airport property, but only a five minute trip from the terminals. Excellent location, acceptable price- point, free shuttle to & from O'Hare. Staff were very welcoming! Shuttle driver extremely polite and accommodating. Speedy check in / check out. Very clean.
