“Nicely appointed rooms comfy beds and modern conveniences”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2014 via mobile

Room very nice, clean, updated with technological conveniences. Interesting set up with the food and beverages downstairs like a mini convenience store. Close to a lot of restaurants. Try to get a room facing away from the airport. A little noisy from the plane traffic but not unbearable. Staff was friendly.

The front desk staff was very welcoming, I arrived from a red eye flight so, when I had a chance to go to bed at night I tried but, was disturbed several times by noise from my bedroom window. It seems that every Thursday, there is a event in a area outside the hotel that involves fireworks, and other noise. I requested a quiet room, and wish that I was informed about the every Thursday night event, and assigned a room in a quiet area. The shuttle bus to the hotel at O'Hare is right across from the lobby of the Hilton Hotel. So, if you arrive from Chicago on the subway follow the Hilton bed sign enter the hotel take the escalator upstairs, and walk across the street.
The grand and go breakfast sandwich egg, bacon, and swiss cheese was very good.

Thank you for your review. The MB Financial Park does have fireworks every other Thursday between Memorial Day and Labor Day. This is the first year they have done the fireworks that frequently and I will educate the staff for the future. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Hotel is average. Book early for the $99 rate. Wasn't a 4star or anything. Is close to fashion place outlet mall and the entertainment dist. Easy walk to both closer than the other hotels. Pool very very small. was 3'6 deep all around I think and maybe 20x20. Pretty much for soaking and kids under 10. Outdoor area was nice a few bag boards set up and a fire pit.

Rooms small to avg. no views in that area at all.. but nothing really to see. is close to airport but didnt notice airplane noise at all.

Two tips. Don't do the pre-pay breakfast. its basically $20 in vouchers to use on their food. Was like egg mcmuffiins/ fruit pretty much togo items.

hotel parking.. That's a scam too. Don't pay them for that. You go to the garage and get a ticket. All the bars/restaurants validate.. I ate/hung-out at park grill. They validated. Had car parked there about 15hrs. hotel wanted $23 or $26.. Of course if you need to go in/out a lot the hotel is probably the way to go. but for a over night stay. Park have a beer validate at the bar.

Thanks for the review. The hotel is the best located in Rosemont with close proximity of the Fashion Outlet Mall, MB Financial Park and the Convention Center.

If you are on a budget on your next trip consider the Aloft chain. I had to vacate my place for a week recently, and did not want to spend a ton of money on a hotel. At $45 a night, the ALoft worked out pretty good for me. It's very European in nature, most of the furniture reminds you of the things at IKEA. The room was small but adequate. It had a bed that wasn't the best, in fact that would be my only complaint, the mattress was wafer thin. More like a futon than a bed. Free internet, and cable TV. The room wasn't bad at all. The shower had great water pressure and no issues with hot water not being there.

Here is something cool, for everyday you go green ( use the same sheet and towels, they give you a credit to use at the mini restaurant in the lobby. A great way for you to do something ecological and you still get your free breakfast. The food is decent, I had a great breakfast sandwich that was made to order. There was an assortment of muffins, scones and other breakfast pastries. Also, fresh fruit, juices, bagels and a few entrees.

In the lobby, they also had a common area that has a bar. Drinks are reasonable and there are some nice places to sit and relax. behind this area is a small workout room and a pool. A lot of amenities for a hotel at this price. The other cool thing is that the hotel is situated within walking distance from the Park Place, a mall with unique restaurants, bars, movie theater and other entertainment. In the winter they have outdoor Ice Skating. You can also grab the hotel shuttle to get to Gibsons, the Casino in Rosemont, The Rosemont Convention Center or anywhere local.

One thing that is a negative is that parking is very expensive. If you can take public transportation to the airport and then take the free shuttle, you will save over $20 a day in parking.

ALoft has a number of locations across the U.S. so if you are going to a place that has a number of things to do, and your hotel is simply a place for you to sleep at, consider the ALoft.

Room Tip: They are very accommodating, so whatever you might need they can help you out. The only issue is tha...

I hosted a business meeting for 15 people here. Complimentary high speed wifi, modern design and access to a large screen TV display for computer was very nice. Restaurants and nightlife within walking distance. Was also a great place to take pictures, as the hotel had a unique, modern design.

Rooms were also very modern and comfortable.

Stayed this week at aloft Ohare. Convenient to the airport for sure. Interesting complex. It takes a bit of a hike from parking to get into the hotel. Have to go up (or down) to the sky bridge, then down a flight of stairs to the lobby.

Typical aloft. Hard finishes, bare concrete, sorta hipster as designed by corporate design firm committee. I did notice this trip that the front desk, due to its design, in the U shape in the middle of the lobby, is such that you can see all the junkiness of a desk / work area. Not very nice when you check in.

Only one person in the lobby when I checked in, so there was a line. And she had to handle sales from the food area as well.

Overall bland experience

Room Tip: Get one that does not face the HUGE flashing billboard across the way on the mall

It is a good location if you need to stay by the airport. The room is contemporarily designed with a sofa, 2 working tables, and good amenities. Unfortunately, a few of the light switches were not working (the ones by the beds). Also, the room phone was not user friendly to operate.
