“Good place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

Holiday Inn Express in Rolling Meadows is on of our favorite places to stay. It is always clean. The staff is friendly. We are always greeted by name. Management here knows how to train staff. Rooms are comfortable. The rates are not as high as you might expect in the Chicago suburbs. We use it as a weekend stop when visiting relatives. Location is excellent for us. Might not be for everyone. Also, there is free wifi. I have stayed at pricier hotels that charged for wifi.. Shame on those other guys! There is also a nice, free breakfast at this hotel.

Concur with all the positive remarks before me. Stayed here for business during the week before Christmas. Everything about the hotel was top-notch. Room was large, beds comfortable, and an especially comfortable leather chair. They were installing new flat screen TVs on my floor, unfortunately I didn't get one. Hopefully, they'll send through the HD signal, something most hotels don't do. To Priority Club members: Check the back of your invoice when you check out. You may be able to earn a 3000 point bonus, from the hotel, for filling out the Holiday Inn Express survey.

Highly recommend this property.

The staff at this hotel is outstanding! Everyone treated us like we were valued, and one person in particular at the front desk, Ronald, was fabulous. I was travelling with another member of my team and we both could not get over how friendly, welcoming and helpful Ronald was during our stay. From taking care of things we had shipped in for a nearby meeting, to tips on local options, arranging travel, and more, every request was handled superbly.

As for the accommodations, compared to many places I travel, this hotel provides an exceptional value for the room size. The free breakfast was very appetizing as well. If other Holiday Inn Express locations match this experience, I'll be staying there more often!!

There are many hotels in the Schaumburg area and this hotel is a great value. Rooms are immaculate and large and beds are extremely comfortable. The decor is very tasteful bith in the lobby and the rooms. I think the Holiday Inn Express is under appreciated brand.

The lobby and breakfast areas are have a new, spacious look. There are a large number of selections for the continental breakfast. My room had a very comfortable bed - one of the best I've slept in! The dresser/cabinet had plenty of space for my week-long stay. Refrigerator and microwave came in very handy, also. My only complaint - and it's a minor one - is that it's hard to see the TV when working at the desk. I admit that's a bit nitpicky! I appreciated the elevators at both ends of the long hallway so that no matter where your room is, there's an elevator that's a convenient distance away.

Room Tip: If you use a lot of ice, ask for a room on a floor with an ice machine, since they are only located...

We were on room 528, top floor. The room space was good, but no flat screen, had an old tv which had broken buttons . Furniture was dated, really need to update! Bathroom was ok. The Gym has good space. The pool was closed, because of the season. The breakfast area was so spacious , all the food you expect on a HIE. No noise from the hw.

We stayed here on a recent road trip and found it to be ok to stay in but not quite up to newer HIX standards. The exterior is old looking while the lobby looks recently updated and was bright and spacious and well done but the room we had and the hallways were worn out feeling and definitely need updating to match the lobby. The walk to our room was along two very long hallways with no inbetween elevator. Not much in the way of restaurants, the only one in easy walking distance was in the adjacent HI and it was not very appealing so we ordered pizza in. The front desk were excellant though, friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and we slept well.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near the lobby part of the hotel to avoid a long walk with your luggage.
