“Go for the Lobster Bisque”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

Great little hidden treasure. Great food, light atmosphere. First and foremost...go with the lobster bisque...amazing. I also recommend the Pumpkin filled ravioli if available. Yum!

“Better than expected”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

Rockford doesn't supply with a lot of great restaurants, so I was expecting mediocre. Garrett's supplied us with a really great meal. The server was not all that knowledgeable on menu, but did just fine otherwise. Husband had delicious scallop dish, and I had a fantastic crab encrusted walleye. Large portions and great flavors. Casual atmosphere with food that suggests a little step up from casual. Definitely worth another visit.

“Not the quality that they show in advertisements”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012 via mobile

Lobster was yellow & transparent in color , filet was less than 7/16" thick , lobster whipped mashed potatoes ( Garrett's substituted with diced fried potatoes ) . The ads show a juicy thick filet and a healthy lobster tail . They sent out a plate that looked as if ..... You be the judge ! Very sad that they have to cut corners to make a buck this badly ! Not happy customer at all

“Save your money.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

We went there last night for their Friday fish fry. I ordered soup, Lobster Bisque. First off, the soup wasn't very warm and it was very salty. My wife didn't want any of it which is unusual for her. I don't even thing it was Lobster Bisque but the cheese soup they offered. But, the kitchen folks are artisan, so I didn't complain. Second, the fish. How can you screw up frozen fish fillets? They did. The fish and french fries were cold and not very tasty. I could have save a lot of money and went to McDonalds for better flavor.

I'm disappointed with Garrett's. It used to be a great place, but I think the food have went over a culinary cliff. I won't be going back.

“Good quality, good choices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

They have a create your own pasta night which is very good.
The seared tuna was delicious and a good wine selection. However, the waitress did not know th wine list and says it changes very frequently so you should know what you like before you order.
