We checked into our room, took showers, and left for the evening. Upon returning we found someone else's belongings left in our room. The hotel had CHECKED SOMEONE ELSE INTO OUR ROOM, WITH OUR STUFF IN IT! This person must have put their stuff down and left, luckily they did not STEAL anything! When we alerted the staff, they made miserable attempts to fix the problem, trying FOUR times to change the keys so the other people could not get in. They made NO other attempts to solve the problem. When I demanded to speak to the manager, the staff called her, and didn't even let me speak to her! No manager ever contacted us about this problem until I made a formal complain with the corporate office the next day! They didn't even alert the other people who had our room keys, just locked them out! These people began banging on our room door at 12:30 am because they wanted their stuff! We had to get out of bed and explain the situation, and that we brought their stuff to the lobby! Then the lobby didn't give them all their stuff and they were back at 1:00 am looking for a bag that we had RETURNED! I will not go into the other problems people in my party had with this hotel. Everyone was rude, inept at their job, and ridiculous. They are lucky we are not suing and didn't get anything stolen from our room that they allowed strangers into. I, and my family, will never stay with a Comfort Inn again.

The problems started before we arrived. We made reservations directly with the hotel for a Saturday night. Little did we know that the person taking our reservation at the hotel made a mistake and booked us for Friday and Saturday. When we didn't arrive Friday night, the hotel cancelled our reservation. Luckily we discovered their error early Saturday and was able to get new rooms booked and was even quoted a reduced rate for our troubles.

When we arrived at the hotel, the hotel didn't honor the reduced rate because they said the error was on our part, not theirs, even though the person who took the reservation had been fired because of errors like this. Conveniently, the general manager had already left for the weekend and couldn't be reached.

To top if off, we had a "non-smoking" room that smelled like a bar. This is the last thing my pregnant wife and young son needed.

Don't believe the 100% satisfaction policy of choice hotels, because we were definitely not satisfied and no compensation was made. The stay was a disaster.

I would highly recommend AVOIDING this hotel.

This hotel is conveniently located right off I-90. The rooms have been updated in the last year so the bedding and such is above average. Our room was clean and well stocked. The staff was helpful and quick at check-in and the usual express check-out was provided (bill under the door ). Ours was just a quick overnight stay; I would stay here again.

This was our first and last stay at this particular property--we stayed there because we were flying out of Rockford Airport for our first time . On check in I paid cash and was shortchanged by $30--thank heaven I caught it but I wasn't even offered an appoligie. Later we tried to rent a movie paying cash and it took at least a 1/2 hour to get the movie working--our tv cut out twice and we missed over 15 minutes of the movie--both times I called the front desk. Finally we were able to watch the movie but out tv died on us right after it. The next day on checkout the clerk told me I wasn't charge room tax and needed to pay more. The clerk who checked me in not only tried to shortchange me but then didn't charge me the rate and this clerk has been a manager at other Comfort Inns. He acted very tired but I did notice later when a young adult women checked in he perked right up and gave her alot of attention. We do travel a bit and I do share my experiences.
