“Horrified by this place.”

Everything the other guests wrote about this motel is true. It is the worst motel I have ever set foot inside. In fact, I have stayed at hotels in third world countries that were a lot better than this disgusting place. The only reason my husband and I spent the night was because it was late when we arrived and we had prepaid. To think we spent over $75 on this dump is heartwrenching. I think anyone who is brave enough to step inside this joint should be paid to do so and given a medal of bravery. We slept in our clothes and shoes it was so disgusting. My little dog hated it, too, as he was nervous all night. As a result, he pooped on the floor. When we discovered it the next morning, I chuckled thinking that his little turd could only freshen up the place. Be advised, DO NOT STAY HERE. If everyone avoids this place it will eventually go out of business which is what needs to happen.

I stayed here for one night but had reservations for 6 days. Couldn't take it! This place is a DUMP! It looks great on the company website and I had read mixed reviews here and at another major site. However,in was in town for an auction and to keep expenses down I chose this for $37 a night with AAA. Well let me tell you the, room I was put in the smallest I have ever stayed in, there were no overhead lights so visibility was limited. The room was dark and dank at best. Furthermore, they say they have HS Internet, well if you can stand the heat of the little rickety office in the lobby and its slow speed ( couldn't get Ebay to come up); then yes you have it! I respectfully, called the manager after my departure, to inform him of my reason for leaving and after expressing to him my concerns,( hoping they would maybe attempt to correct some deficits) his response was ( in a heavy foreign accent)" Thats fine and that's OK" and I said "No its not OK" and he HUNG up on me!! So take my HONEST advise and stay elsewhere!!

this place is probably the worst motel I have ever stayed in.

Front desk person was ok.

Hallways filthy, room had bathtub that was dirty and did not drain, room door lock was broken, shower curtain scummy, windows were broken in the room so the cold came in, the heat registers were taken apart and laying on the floor the only heat was from a blower hooked up thru the window air conditioner. This place should be looked at by the health department for poor living conditions. I wrote travel lodge corp and they replied that they would get back in seven days ,that was a month ago. This was a decent motel not many years ago.

There was a few donuts out for a breakfast and about 1/4 of a gallon of milk sitting in a small refrigerator,

We had 2 rooms booked, one for my son and his wife and one for my wife and me. The place was seedy and appeared dangerous. There were people sitting in one of the rooms in undershirts, drinking beer that looked like they might be plotting their next felony. . a little barefoot kid( abaonded at 11pm at night?) opened the back door for us. the carpet was so dirty that it appeared wet..... the elevator was beat up, but functional with a "wet paint" sign taped on the inside of the cab. there were no wet painted surfaces however. we made it too our room which reeked of mold and mildew. after about 1 minutes contemplation on our next move, we went to our son and daughter-in law's room....they were standing in the middle of the room trying to figure out their next move......could they stand one night? where would they go since we were all in one rented vehicle. etc. we decided to leave and find another place. the hotel clerk who was unkempt and dirty seemed a bit outraged that we said her rooms "stunk".... she said she couldnt offer a refund since we booked with HOTWIRE and didnt offer an alternate room.
dont go there.

My husband and I stayed the last weekend in August. Our first clue that we should have booked elsewhere was that hallways and elevator were filthy. The carpet was disgusting; it hasn’t been washed in years (if ever).
Our room was dirty: blood-stained comforter, stained sheets, hair in bathroom, moldy shower curtain, and crusty (I'm not sure what) caked onto the carpet. Staff changed the sheets but did not do anything about the shower curtain even though I asked 3 times! The air conditioner worked but was very loud.
For sanitary reasons, I refused to walk barefoot on the carpet, eat the continental breakfast, or swim in the pool.
I asked other guests about their rooms and learned that the state of our room was not unique.
We paid $55/night+tax, which I thought was outrageous for this dive.
We've stayed at the Exel Inn and Super 8 in Rockford. Neither was great, but both were 100 times better than Travelodge!
