“Cooper - Adams second time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

If you are in the Quincy, IL area definitely try to stay with Cork and Judy in the Cooper - Adams B&B. This is a comfortable house and the hospitality and food are excellent. The furniture is great and the breakfast presentation is charming. There is a neat little garden out back to relax in, and inside the high ceilings and large rooms allow a comfortable conversation. You can quickly get to Quincy's mansion district - great walk or drive - or to the waterfront. Cork and Judy will recommend some nice restaurants. We stayed for the second time recently - our anniversary - and we met two other very nice couples. The breakfast conversation was outstanding. I recommend this place to any visitor to Quincy or traveler through the area.

Judy and Cork were very hospitable and took great care of us for breakfast. We were the only ones staying on this overnight trip. The rooms were well taken care of and clean. The home is on a quiet street and sleeping was easy. We would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: We appreciated having the room with its own bathroom.

I have stayed in hotels several times while visiting Quincy and the surrounding area but never again from now on I will stay with Judy and Cork at their beautiful B&B. They are located in a historic residential area of Quincy. Perfect for walks. The home is well kept and Judy has a real artistic flare. Each room is inviting and drew me in. I had appointments but what I really wanted to do was sit in the parlor sip tea and enjoying myself. The bedroom I stayed in was spacious and very clean. Beautiful linens on the Iron Bed. There was a glass and bottled water sitting on a silver tray with a linen knapkin. The bathroom was very clean with all of the amenities. The room was so quiet. I had a perfect night's sleep. Truly gracious living.

What a gem in the heart of the Quincy historic district ! The rich buttonwood appointed Queen Anne home is filled with little surprises everywhere you turn--whether it be books, wall hangings, down comforter-covered beds, or beautiful linens. Judy warmly welcomed us upon our arrival and was very accommodating to our schedules during our stay. The breakfasts were perfectly proportioned--using homegrown berries, organic eggs with herbs, homemade jams--very satisfying. I really enjoyed my walks in the neighborhood, as well as sitting in the living room reading or talking. Judy and Cork are a delightful, interesting, and engaging couple--Cooper Adams will be my first choice for future Quincy visits.

Room Tip: Ask for the in-suite bathroom....the room is spacious and sunny.

My husband and I stayed in Quincy for two nights. Cooper Adams is a beautiful old house on a tree lined street and we had a lovely room with ensuite bath--simple but roomy and with nice personal touches here and there, including a bathrobe and bath products. There was also complimentary bottled water which was refilled whenever we needed--and we did need it because it was very hot and humid outside--thank heavens for the air conditioning! Judy and Cork are really, really nice people and Judy cooks with whole foods so for breakfast we had fresh fruit, home baked pastry, and a turkey BLT with caper mayonnaise (to die for) one morning and poached eggs with potatoes fried with tomatoes and herbs the next. Yummy! We had a lovely stay.

My wife and I are originally from Quincy and were back to visit relatives. We wanted to stay somewhere close by and we enjoy visiting B&B's. Upon arrival we were greeted by Judy, the owner. She made us feel right at home immediately and the at home feeling stayed through out our 5 nights there. We found the bedroom and in suite bathroom to be spacious and comfortable. We loved the homemade pumpkin roll that was served for breakfast! A true holiday delight! Food portions were more than enough, you never left the table hungry. Judy had all the current updates on the best places to eat out or see in the city! She and her husband Cork were a delight to talk with! We look forward to a return visit in the future!
