We stayed at the Days Inn Quincy last weekend with the basketball tournament going on. The location was actually pretty good, right near the river, but the best word to describe this motel indeed would be, "dated." The tiny bathroom with no ceiling fan was not a treat for our group. The free breakfast was not a continental type, but a sit-down which took a long time to get us a pretty weak little breakfast. Not good. We aired out the smoky room, and it wasn't especially dirty, just old. The pool was not ready the day we checked
in and was freezing on the second day, but it's only late May. The staff, outside of the breakfast help, was fine and mostly helpful. Only book this one as a last resort (which it was for us.) The town itself on the other hand was QUITE charming, and the tall buildings downtown showed that Quincy must have been quite the thriving metropolis in its day. The mall and theater were an easy 10-15 minute
drive.
