The Patio is a restaurant that is perfect for most occasions. It is decorated in an old-fashioned style--dark and intimate with small tables and patio-style metal chairs--so that it seems to be ideal for dinners for two and special celebrations. The food is so good, though, that people in the know don't just go there for special occasions, but go to The Patio anytime they have an excuse to eat at a restaurant. Everything there is great--steak lovers swear by their steaks, the prime rib is always good, the pasta bar on Thursdays (and Fridays during Lent) is terrific,
the enormous pork chop is a meal in itself, the Patio chicken livers are wonderful, their special salads and potatoes are tasty, and there also is an excellent bar. The last time we were there I had the grilled scallops with drawn butter--yum!
This is the one restaurant in town that our out-of-town children ALWAYS have to visit when they come home.
