Your passport to paradise lies just beyond the touristy hustle and bustle of Cook's and Oponohu Bays.
Your friendly and attentive hosts are Celine & Laurent. Owners since 2009, they have nicely renovated the huts, and immaculately tend the gardens so that every hut is surrounded by verdant hedges and tropical fragrances.
Moorea Fare Miti is on a beautiful sandy beach for making sand castles with the kids or lying in the lounge watching glorious sunsets. The thatch roof bungalows are spacious and are well appointed with all the necessities, including a kitchen, flush toilet, and shower, and are cooled by ceiling fans and gentle breezes. The local supermarkets and shops are within a pleasant walk, about a kilometre, down the road.
Moorea Fare Miti caters to couples and families alike. While we were there, couples strolled along the beach while young children enjoyed building sand castles in the sand. The snorkeling is good, with many colourful tropical fish feeding from your scraps of bread. There are no mosquitoes to speak of, and those few are carried away by the ocean breeze.
So, if you are looking for authentic Moorea, with a sandy beach overlooking a blue lagoon and glorious sunsets, a natural well manicured landscape, comfortable thatched-roof huts with all the necessities in a quiet relaxing setting, then you'll find it with friendly faces at Moorea Fare Miti.
