“You must try this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

I thoroughly enjoy a great steak. I have eaten at all the best in Chicago and all over the US. This place is one of my favorites. My wife and I go here whenever we can. The Brittany salad dressing is delicious as is the twice baked potato and sweet potatoes. However, the thing that keeps us coming back is the Beef'n Blue. This a fillet with a special blue cheese sauce. It is always cooked perfectly and the sauce is wonderful. Although pricey, it is worth every penny.

“Best $10 hamburger”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

Seriously the best hamburger that I've had a long while (Raging Bull). The service was great. Real nice dining experience (Sunday around 5:30).

“The best steaks in 150 ,miles.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

JD Comfort ages his steaks and then prepares them to an excellent taste. These steaks rival any of those out of Chicago or New York from Ruth Christ, Smith and Wolinski, or Morton's. The food is delicious.

“WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER: Sea Scallops in a bed of Cow Manure”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

Jim's Bistro Peoria worst dining experience ever! Sea Scallops in a bed of Cow Manure So unspeakably awful even when I complained the owner threatened to beat me up when I left. Hard to prepare yourself for something this regressively awful. Look, it's Peoria so we weren't expecting El Celler de Can Roca, but when Ray LaHood the former Transpo Secretary commands center room one might think you're in for a decent culinary event. (Washington D.C. take their expense accounts very seriously.) Unfortunately, the only thing I should taken from the disgusted moue on the transportation tsar's face was a a conveyance far away from what turn out to be the dining equivalent to Danté's Seventh Ring of Hell.

“Excellent Steak!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

Filet steak with Bleu chees was terrific - prepared as I ordered it and excellent taste. Size was 10 ounces (recommend the restaurant add a smaller size - like 6 ounces). No one leaves hungry. Atmosphere was very attractive with the restaurant in a renovate older building where the older features were retained - metal ceiling, for example. Service was very quick and attentive.
Highly recommended.
